we will have worse trade deals maybe?

2018-11-23 12:30:14 UTC

maybe in terms of global companies, I guess

2018-11-23 12:30:18 UTC

well obviously it depends on what deal happens..?

2018-11-23 12:30:25 UTC

but smaller shops would be an improvement

2018-11-23 12:30:25 UTC

All I know about brexit is that it's a fun word to say

2018-11-23 12:30:31 UTC

even with no deal, we lose a pile of tarrifs on our majority of import

2018-11-23 12:30:34 UTC

Brexit

2018-11-23 12:30:35 UTC

thats what people say at least

2018-11-23 12:30:37 UTC

Breakfast means breakfast.

2018-11-23 12:30:43 UTC

Trend was massive economic growth after joining the EU, whilst total reversion is of course stupid many remainers thought that growth would slow massively

2018-11-23 12:30:46 UTC

I'll be honest, I voted remain because I had no idea what was going on, or what Brexit would mean, so voted just to maintain status quo

2018-11-23 12:31:11 UTC

From what I'm aware of, remain didn't really *have* a campaign around here. Or at all.

2018-11-23 12:31:20 UTC

that's completely valid @Malvulgein

2018-11-23 12:31:21 UTC

but we already use wto standard with the rest off the world except + signle market tarriff

2018-11-23 12:31:41 UTC

I voted leave, because every media outlet wanted me to remain but all the people I knew wanted to leave.

2018-11-23 12:32:04 UTC

Isn't May's deal just "what we already do with the EU, but we won't have a say in EU law now"?

2018-11-23 12:32:14 UTC

only remain campaigning we had here was that £80 million remain leaflet shit

2018-11-23 12:32:18 UTC

basically yea

2018-11-23 12:32:19 UTC

You know what doesn't help. "Impartial" coverage from the BBC. Andrew mar shows had hundreds of remainers, 33 leavers. Daily politics have had like 88 remainers and only 18 leavers. That's the sort of shit I can't stand.

2018-11-23 12:32:19 UTC

I voted remain primarily because of the EU scientific partnership and funding pool, the rest I didn't know much about

2018-11-23 12:32:25 UTC

i think overall are trade with europe would be worse but we could just supplement it with other countries

2018-11-23 12:32:40 UTC

the funding is honestly...kinda shit as an argument

2018-11-23 12:32:41 UTC

We didn't even vote to join the EU. It just slowly happened after joining the EEC.

2018-11-23 12:32:49 UTC

I^

2018-11-23 12:33:01 UTC

@coattailsandbowties basically the rest is shit

2018-11-23 12:33:03 UTC

even with the science grants you only get them for specific things and fields

2018-11-23 12:33:04 UTC

We should have told the EU to fuck off and shove their payment for leaving and got in bed with America for a nice trade deal

2018-11-23 12:33:04 UTC

theresa mays deal is basically the girlfriend that asked to break up but came back a week later apologising

2018-11-23 12:33:10 UTC

yikes

2018-11-23 12:33:10 UTC

^

2018-11-23 12:33:30 UTC

@Aya it was one of the most important factors to me at the time, and still something I keep an eye on.

2018-11-23 12:33:38 UTC

by opening it up we can have more variety in funding, rather than specific areas

2018-11-23 12:33:39 UTC

pokemon movie

2018-11-23 12:33:40 UTC

@Ruger she still asks you to give her a lift every where

2018-11-23 12:33:42 UTC

yeah, mine too :P

2018-11-23 12:33:49 UTC

you're just talking out your ass though @Aya

2018-11-23 12:33:50 UTC

The first one @Scarab

2018-11-23 12:33:52 UTC

The EU is so democratic we didn't vote to join and when we voted to leave we weren't allowed to.

2018-11-23 12:33:53 UTC

"by opening it up we can have more variety in funding, rather than specific areas"

2018-11-23 12:33:58 UTC

what does that even mean lol
