But blue isn’t terrible

2018-11-27 15:23:27 UTC

my rec: logitech g810 rgb

2018-11-27 15:23:32 UTC

They have low pressure requirements and are better for rapid pressing.

2018-11-27 15:23:41 UTC

^

2018-11-27 15:23:46 UTC

So browns are better then blues

2018-11-27 15:23:48 UTC

great switches, solid keyboard, durable fucker, onboard volume scroll thingies

2018-11-27 15:24:00 UTC

Yes, Blues are just the loudest.

2018-11-27 15:24:02 UTC

guess the romer g's are kinda like a cross between red and blue

2018-11-27 15:24:14 UTC

just way WAY less noisy than the blues

2018-11-27 15:24:24 UTC

Like blues are very loud

2018-11-27 15:24:35 UTC

He's not wrong

2018-11-27 15:24:56 UTC

@Dimorac i'd recommend going to like pc world and trying out the feel of the different switches

2018-11-27 15:25:17 UTC

every corsair I've had has usually failed within 18 months 😦

2018-11-27 15:25:45 UTC

if it's not ghosting switches it's just led's refusing to light or worse the keyboard just refusing to work

2018-11-27 15:25:49 UTC

You should have warranty then dude

2018-11-27 15:26:01 UTC

yeah I've done a couple warranties with them over the years

2018-11-27 15:26:53 UTC

Looking at PC worlds website

2018-11-27 15:26:58 UTC

they have advice for the switches

2018-11-27 15:26:58 UTC

logitech have the nicest CS rma process anyways

2018-11-27 15:27:00 UTC

so going to check it out

2018-11-27 15:27:12 UTC

OH SHIT

2018-11-27 15:27:18 UTC

WHY AM I NOT ASKING MIKA!

2018-11-27 15:27:23 UTC

@mikaeyu HALLO!!!

2018-11-27 15:27:25 UTC

When I first started getting into all this I went and bought myself a like $12 switch tester. It comes with like 11 different switches and you get a really feel from them. I'm a hard Typer so I like a switch the pushes back a little and I take it a little easier on the keyboard as I don't bottom out everytime. Most of the time it just gonna come down to what feel good

2018-11-27 15:28:10 UTC

I want a switch that reacts with the slightest touch

2018-11-27 15:28:13 UTC

for gaming

2018-11-27 15:28:17 UTC

so a slight little push would help

2018-11-27 15:31:12 UTC

Apparently Gateron brown's are "Orgasmic."

2018-11-27 15:33:35 UTC

Gimps

2018-11-27 15:35:31 UTC

You're a gimp.

2018-11-27 15:35:32 UTC

Cherry MX silver are the quickest as they have a smaller travel distance but good luck find a single keyboard that uses them. I stuggled to find ones with greens

2018-11-27 15:37:00 UTC

@Tea No u

2018-11-27 15:37:14 UTC

Gatreon Browns are rated as the best Switches available.

The issue with Red switches is that they are worse for typing and games where accidental key presses are devastating.

2018-11-27 15:40:01 UTC

Since the force to press a red is linear it is easy to press the key accidentally, With Browns and to a higher extent Blues the force required is mostly at the start so it is harder to make accidental key presses but quickly pressing the key is tougher.

2018-11-27 15:40:44 UTC

reds are great for first mechanical keyboard

2018-11-27 15:42:01 UTC

2018-11-27 15:42:07 UTC
