spears were dominant on the battlefield and 1v1s, swords were better for personal protection in the day to day and also as symbols of wealth

2018-12-04 22:20:36 UTC

@Kai had me going on that

2018-12-04 22:20:54 UTC

I would probably prefer a spear

2018-12-04 22:20:58 UTC

It has the range

2018-12-04 22:21:00 UTC

@Ruger I’d slap your spear aside and charge you, what do you mean

2018-12-04 22:21:00 UTC

@cig mouse Yeah but this is vs zombies, no horses and they don't feel pain

2018-12-04 22:21:12 UTC

Spears create distance.

2018-12-04 22:21:19 UTC

What are ya a iron age battle tactician ruger?

2018-12-04 22:21:21 UTC

Unless they were in a line then ur fucked

2018-12-04 22:21:27 UTC

Spears were pretty much universally better than swords

2018-12-04 22:21:30 UTC

if you can 1v1 a nigga, and 8ft spear/halberd any day of the week

2018-12-04 22:21:36 UTC

@󠀀󠀀AK A greatsword would be great for that. Swing and you kill 5 zombies lol

2018-12-04 22:21:51 UTC

For the sword to have any actual damage its gotta be swung with some proper force

2018-12-04 22:21:52 UTC

Quarterstaffs were also very effective, light and mobile, and if you add a bit of weight metal, blunt force trauma is a god.

2018-12-04 22:21:54 UTC

Gustav gun needed 150 people to operate.

2018-12-04 22:22:02 UTC

if it’s a 1v1 all you have to do is slap it out of the way and charge down it

2018-12-04 22:22:06 UTC

@Ruger Exactly, spears are just great

2018-12-04 22:22:09 UTC

Paris guns

2018-12-04 22:22:14 UTC

@DUB3R5 you'd think that

2018-12-04 22:22:14 UTC

Fun stuff

2018-12-04 22:22:23 UTC

@DUB3R5 but you'd be dead

2018-12-04 22:22:24 UTC

Slap it out the way? What

2018-12-04 22:22:28 UTC

wat

2018-12-04 22:22:29 UTC

@DUB3R5 Only if it were so simple

2018-12-04 22:22:37 UTC

Just give it a backhand @Tea

2018-12-04 22:22:37 UTC

I did fencing

2018-12-04 22:22:46 UTC

that’s mostly how it words

2018-12-04 22:22:49 UTC

Fencing isn't

2018-12-04 22:22:53 UTC

The same thing.

2018-12-04 22:22:56 UTC

That’s why the Vikings were successful, the English relied on Swords too much

2018-12-04 22:22:57 UTC

What about bayonets

2018-12-04 22:22:57 UTC

a spear isn't quite a rapier

2018-12-04 22:23:25 UTC

yea and your opponents fence is the same length as yers... a spear is like 3x/4x and hes using 2 hands

2018-12-04 22:23:25 UTC

Axe is probably most simple to use

2018-12-04 22:23:29 UTC

same concept, stay away from the top

2018-12-04 22:23:29 UTC

The vikings were really good at fighting. I never understood the story behind their downfall

2018-12-04 22:23:42 UTC

A well placed javelin can take down a chariot.

2018-12-04 22:23:48 UTC

@cig mouse they couldnt catch up with the times

2018-12-04 22:23:48 UTC
2018-12-04 22:23:57 UTC

Problem with spear is you have to be good, if enemy is in close then a dagger/sword wins
