spears were dominant on the battlefield and 1v1s, swords were better for personal protection in the day to day and also as symbols of wealth
I would probably prefer a spear
It has the range
@cig mouse Yeah but this is vs zombies, no horses and they don't feel pain
Spears create distance.
What are ya a iron age battle tactician ruger?
Unless they were in a line then ur fucked
Spears were pretty much universally better than swords
if you can 1v1 a nigga, and 8ft spear/halberd any day of the week
@AK A greatsword would be great for that. Swing and you kill 5 zombies lol
For the sword to have any actual damage its gotta be swung with some proper force
Quarterstaffs were also very effective, light and mobile, and if you add a bit of weight metal, blunt force trauma is a god.
Gustav gun needed 150 people to operate.
if it’s a 1v1 all you have to do is slap it out of the way and charge down it
Paris guns
Slap it out the way? What
wat
Just give it a backhand @Tea
I did fencing
that’s mostly how it words
Fencing isn't
The same thing.
That’s why the Vikings were successful, the English relied on Swords too much
What about bayonets
a spear isn't quite a rapier
yea and your opponents fence is the same length as yers... a spear is like 3x/4x and hes using 2 hands
Axe is probably most simple to use
same concept, stay away from the top
The vikings were really good at fighting. I never understood the story behind their downfall
A well placed javelin can take down a chariot.
@cig mouse they couldnt catch up with the times
@cig mouse aids
Problem with spear is you have to be good, if enemy is in close then a dagger/sword wins
