I mean that's sims 3. sims 1 came out way earlier.
Sims 2 best sims
change my mind
its sims
the original sims game was released in 2000.
not playing it is the best
what does that have to do with the price of rice in china, coat?
original sims players became the candy crush players.
what year did the original sims developer leave it?
uh
eh, that sounds a little bit like causation and correlation being confused
i mean what are you basing that on lol
what you mean in women in that age bracket played both
I wonder when the microtransaction bubble bursts
and it still doesn't really have anything to do with anything
since its still fucking huge in china
so those third world chinks will keep it fueled a bit longer
but over here in actually civilised non shithole nations people are starting to get a lil tired in the public eye
we still vote with our wallets so we vote they remain
but public perception is decreasing rapidly
lootbox bubble is queued to burst as more and more countries acknowledge it's gambling and cant be sold or marketed to kids
that's the earliest example of the DLC model I can think of
It'll prob be like the 84' game crash where it only happened in NA
but
MTX generally will just evolve
I wanna ask you all something
we're not talking about DLC though
whats the difference, other than tangibility, between trading packs and microtransaction lootboxes
seriously
there isnt one
physical vs digital
both have aftermarket values, both are targeted gambling towards minors
i already said that pirate
and they were "addons" back then, not DLC as such. modern DLC is a far cry from old games with addons, and yes newer sims are way worse than early sims for this as well
Monetisation of additional content in games. My understanding is MTX evolved from the downsizing of DLC.
"other than tangibility"
no
tangibility is important
you cant dismiss it
no it isnt
the lootbox MTX, which is what we're talking about, originated with EA
