If anyone is interested in taking a beach-side holiday somewhere in the US without spending a small fortune, Myrtle Beach is pretty nice. Went there last year with the missus and stayed for 3 days. Only spent about $200-300 total and had a blast.

Great bars, niche shops, great beaches and fantastic hotels.
