and tried to make a reusable first stage

it have 4568 delta V

just the enough to bring to the orbit

But how can an ablator work if there is no air in space

but then my bad piloting skills made it go puff on the ocean qwq

that's why it only works in the atmosphere

and it's why you need to use fuel to land on other planets without atmosphere

that's how I lost one probe on the mun QwQ

the ablator actually slows you down gradually on the reentry on earth by the drag

and then you can use parachutes since you aren't going at the speed of the sound

first there are more resiliet but smaller parachutes to slow you a bit moe

they won't make you not go puff on the ground

but they can slow you down enough so you can use a big paracute

idk if they do that irl

but they prob do

rocket science's not impossible to do

just a little hard
