labels are not the thing
label? hmm, I'd say identify
no
the word sun is a label
can you prove to me that those things arent what I just "labelled" them?
im hapy with the labels
no, the sun is a definition
no it isnt
```
Sun
1. (often initial capital letter) the star that is the central body of the solar system, around which the planets revolve and from which they receive light and heat: its mean distance from the earth is about 93 million miles (150 million km), its diameter about 864,000 miles (1.4 million km), and its mass about 330,000 times that of the earth; its period of surface rotation is about 26 days at its equator but longer at higher latitudes.
```
that is a definition
that is *the* definition of that glowing orb in the sky
no its a definition
why is it numbered 1.?
```
2. the sun considered with reference to its position in the sky, its visibility, the season of the year, the time at which or the place where it is seen, etc.
3. a self-luminous heavenly body; star.
```
also definitions of that same glowing orb
3. a self-luminous heavenly body; star.
so a light up
people call those smaller lights "suns" too, but *the* sun is that big glowing orb
we've established what they are called, not what they are!!!
13:59] chad: what are they
[13:59] chad: i dont know
you have memory or reading problems
we are talking about science not opinion
ok, so you wont have any theories at all, to compare mine with?
hmm, sad
an opinion isnt a theory
or science
but you do have opinions on theories, correct?
so weve established you have no science
only stories
but stories that have been proven by science
so the story came first? lol
"earth is flat" is also just a story, which you believe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
sounds fishy
hypothesis is what they call those stories, and then you either prove or debunk the hypothesis
how do you prove a hypotesis, im told science doesnt prove things
I can have the hypothesis "if I throw a brick out of the window it will float away"
and I can try that by indeed throwing a brick out of the window, and then I'll prove that the hypothesis is wrong, because the brick just falls to the ground
ok, give me the hyothesis for what the sun is
in short: a ball of gas, that is fusing the hydrogen to helium, which results in a lot of heat/light radiation
how would you falsify this?
we've analysed the light that comes from the sun, and compared it to fusion done by humans, on earth, and it was the exact same radiation, so yes, it is indeed doing some form of nuclear fusion
