2019-12-21 13:57:39 UTC

then give me the science

2019-12-21 13:57:45 UTC

I prefer science too

2019-12-21 13:58:00 UTC

lets work it out together

2019-12-21 13:58:10 UTC

sure

2019-12-21 13:58:19 UTC

so we see things moving in the sky

2019-12-21 13:58:38 UTC

what are they?

2019-12-21 13:58:47 UTC

thats partially correct, we havent proven that they are *in* the sky

2019-12-21 13:58:57 UTC

I think they're way higher than that

2019-12-21 13:59:17 UTC

great, so we see things up

2019-12-21 13:59:22 UTC

ok, agreed

2019-12-21 13:59:31 UTC

what are they

2019-12-21 13:59:38 UTC

i dont know

2019-12-21 14:02:32 UTC

the brightest object is the sun, I'm sure about that
red/green flashy things are planes, I'm sure about that too
the moon is the moon, I think everyone can recognise the moon
small glowing dots that arent moving (not visible at least) are starts
small glowing dots that *are* moving are satellites, and they can be visible with the naked eye if there isnt too much light pollution
and the brightest of those satellites is the ISS, that one is brighter than most stars

2019-12-21 14:02:52 UTC

so youve labeled them

2019-12-21 14:03:03 UTC

yes i can label them

2019-12-21 14:03:13 UTC

and bright fast moving objects that quickly vanish are asteroids crashing into the atmosphere

2019-12-21 14:03:25 UTC

labels are not the thing

2019-12-21 14:03:29 UTC

label? hmm, I'd say identify

2019-12-21 14:03:33 UTC

no

2019-12-21 14:04:01 UTC

the word sun is a label

2019-12-21 14:04:02 UTC

can you prove to me that those things arent what I just "labelled" them?

2019-12-21 14:04:17 UTC

im hapy with the labels

2019-12-21 14:04:20 UTC

no, the sun is a definition

2019-12-21 14:04:25 UTC

no it isnt

2019-12-21 14:04:51 UTC

```
Sun
1. (often initial capital letter) the star that is the central body of the solar system, around which the planets revolve and from which they receive light and heat: its mean distance from the earth is about 93 million miles (150 million km), its diameter about 864,000 miles (1.4 million km), and its mass about 330,000 times that of the earth; its period of surface rotation is about 26 days at its equator but longer at higher latitudes.
```

2019-12-21 14:05:14 UTC

that is a definition

2019-12-21 14:05:38 UTC

that is *the* definition of that glowing orb in the sky

2019-12-21 14:06:30 UTC

no its a definition

2019-12-21 14:06:41 UTC

why is it numbered 1.?

2019-12-21 14:07:11 UTC

```
2. the sun considered with reference to its position in the sky, its visibility, the season of the year, the time at which or the place where it is seen, etc.
3. a self-luminous heavenly body; star.
```

2019-12-21 14:07:25 UTC

also definitions of that same glowing orb

2019-12-21 14:07:34 UTC

3. a self-luminous heavenly body; star.

2019-12-21 14:08:39 UTC

so a light up

2019-12-21 14:09:09 UTC

people call those smaller lights "suns" too, but *the* sun is that big glowing orb

2019-12-21 14:09:36 UTC

we've established what they are called, not what they are!!!

2019-12-21 14:09:59 UTC

ok, can you tell me what you think they are?

2019-12-21 14:10:18 UTC

13:59] chad: what are they
[13:59] chad: i dont know

2019-12-21 14:10:30 UTC

you have memory or reading problems

2019-12-21 14:11:04 UTC

we are talking about science not opinion

2019-12-21 14:11:52 UTC

ok, so you wont have any theories at all, to compare mine with?
hmm, sad
