How can you hate God if you don't believe that God exists?

Christians used to belive earth was round. Even in times christianity was mainstream religion, way before space travel.

Only differentce is that they didnt belive in heliocentric model.

Most still do.

But they were among some of the first to help support the institution of such.

Its werid how the whole flatearth movement started in 18th century. Ya know. Way before nasa was a thing. Hell at that time. Atheism was almost non existent.

They did kill Galileo, but you forget that at first they broadly supported his endeavours

i've learned that it's a common myth that flat earth was just some random thing brought up recently but it was commonly believed by everyone before the great renaissance.

it's cool that when people started finally taking reasoning and logic seriously we finally figured out that the earth is round
