How can you hate God if you don't believe that God exists?

2020-01-02 18:15:29 UTC

Probably the same way you can hate someone you dont even know.

2020-01-02 18:15:30 UTC

no thats an agnostic

2020-01-02 18:15:59 UTC

you can hate something even if you dont think it is real

2020-01-02 18:16:14 UTC

Sometimes you dont even need a reason to hate something

2020-01-02 18:17:05 UTC

@manga Like what?

2020-01-02 18:17:18 UTC

2020-01-02 18:17:41 UTC

2020-01-02 18:17:59 UTC

2020-01-02 18:18:49 UTC

Wait a minute those aint atheists.

2020-01-02 18:19:08 UTC

Even I can see that as a pretty blatant strawman

2020-01-02 18:19:28 UTC

I cant see the strawman because a strawman is in my view.

2020-01-02 18:19:48 UTC

Strawman too close to the face, need to take a step back

2020-01-02 18:20:43 UTC

You know whats weird.

2020-01-02 18:20:53 UTC

no

2020-01-02 18:20:57 UTC

whats weird

2020-01-02 18:21:06 UTC
2020-01-02 18:21:19 UTC

Christians used to belive earth was round. Even in times christianity was mainstream religion, way before space travel.

2020-01-02 18:21:32 UTC

Only differentce is that they didnt belive in heliocentric model.

2020-01-02 18:21:33 UTC

Most still do.

2020-01-02 18:21:49 UTC

But they were among some of the first to help support the institution of such.

2020-01-02 18:21:55 UTC

@Flat earth BEAST whats your proof for god?

2020-01-02 18:22:27 UTC

I bet its "good is needed for us to exist" or something like that.

2020-01-02 18:22:43 UTC

Or another kind of "look around you" argument.

2020-01-02 18:23:02 UTC

iirc weren't christians very anti-globe, they went to an extent to kill galileo because of his ideas. in every middle ages drawing it's always some flat earth with a dome bs

2020-01-02 18:23:48 UTC

wdym "used to" majority do

2020-01-02 18:24:16 UTC

Its werid how the whole flatearth movement started in 18th century. Ya know. Way before nasa was a thing. Hell at that time. Atheism was almost non existent.

2020-01-02 18:24:43 UTC

They did kill Galileo, but you forget that at first they broadly supported his endeavours

2020-01-02 18:24:59 UTC

It was only when public sentiment seemed to sour did they turn their back on him.

2020-01-02 18:25:34 UTC

i think that's false, flat earth can be seen since the judeo-greek era. it was just forgotten in the age of enlightment

2020-01-02 18:25:51 UTC

You mean remembered.

2020-01-02 18:26:44 UTC

nah heliocentrism and round earth weren't mainstream until the age of enlightenment (where reason is the most important)

2020-01-02 18:27:06 UTC

even a bit in the renaissance

2020-01-02 18:29:20 UTC

i've learned that it's a common myth that flat earth was just some random thing brought up recently but it was commonly believed by everyone before the great renaissance.

2020-01-02 18:30:08 UTC

it's cool that when people started finally taking reasoning and logic seriously we finally figured out that the earth is round

2020-01-02 18:32:39 UTC

@gilgamesh god exists, you need to seek him out. read the bible

2020-01-02 18:34:28 UTC

But doesnt bible just straigh out state that god exists?

2020-01-02 18:35:02 UTC

@AngryShark @gilgamesh only one of them is fake. hint: it's recent
