Quite often, as it happens.

There's usually some around willing to talk about it with people willing to listen.

As it turns out, it becomes pretty easy to believe your position if you fabricate evidence and then deny anything that may contradict it.

Including denying any evidence that contradicts said belief.

It ends up being a circular argument after a while.
