That diagram also doesn't show how something would disappear bottom up

2020-03-12 04:18:33 UTC

Only uniformly

2020-03-12 04:20:50 UTC

Your ship theory makes no sense. Get a telescope and you can see the ship again buddy, this isn’t proof of flat earth, it’s eyesight

2020-03-12 04:20:57 UTC

Good effort though

2020-03-12 04:21:07 UTC

..

2020-03-12 04:21:32 UTC

At some point the ship should go ovet the geometric horizon

2020-03-12 04:21:59 UTC

Yeah I actually agree with @IXI here :L What do you mean?

2020-03-12 04:22:12 UTC

I must have misunderstood his point

2020-03-12 04:22:32 UTC

I thought he was saying ships get farther away as they go and it looks like they disappeared

2020-03-12 04:22:35 UTC

My bad my bad

2020-03-12 04:23:11 UTC

Ah, I guess what you were trying to say is that on FE you should be ab;e to use more and more powerful telescopes to resolve the ship again?

2020-03-12 04:23:46 UTC

Assuming you watched it dissappear once bottom up using whatever

Problem is Phuket's entiar argument is based on atmospheric refraciton. Which is expected to bend light the opposite way over water to over land as it is dependent on the temperature gradient.

2020-03-12 04:26:17 UTC

His 'band of convergence' is just the mirage from the ground being hot

2020-03-12 04:27:46 UTC

Im not an optical expert myself

2020-03-12 04:27:51 UTC

So no comment

2020-03-12 04:28:10 UTC

Im sure someone more experienced can answer ur questions

2020-03-12 04:28:18 UTC

Fair enough

2020-03-12 04:28:42 UTC

I will say to take Phuket's stuff with a pinch of salt though, as from what i've seen he seems a bit of an idiot

2020-03-12 04:29:38 UTC

That said, I haven't seen all of his stuff

2020-03-12 04:30:04 UTC

Me neither im not really following with FE content as i should

2020-03-12 04:30:37 UTC

Cant keep up with all my learning goals. There is so much to learn in everything

2020-03-12 04:30:56 UTC

I suggest looking into optics stuff, it's interesting.

2020-03-12 04:31:13 UTC

Sure

2020-03-12 04:31:54 UTC

Im more intrested in economics and health than in physics

2020-03-12 04:32:07 UTC

Also fair

2020-03-12 04:33:52 UTC

Have you studied physics at all, out of interest?

2020-03-12 04:33:57 UTC

Yes

2020-03-12 04:34:43 UTC

I studied it quite in depth until my senior year. Our school had a strong physics program

2020-03-12 04:35:04 UTC

However i dont major in anything that has to do with it now

2020-03-12 04:35:42 UTC

I did study optics but i just cant recall all details

2020-03-12 04:36:41 UTC

Yeah fair. You still studying then?

2020-03-12 04:36:56 UTC

Im in uni

2020-03-12 04:37:15 UTC

Awesome πŸ™‚

2020-03-12 04:37:27 UTC

πŸ‘

2020-03-12 04:37:32 UTC

Anyways i gtg

2020-03-12 04:37:58 UTC

Nice talking to u ill definitely look into the optics of ship disappearing sometime soon

2020-03-12 04:38:32 UTC

No worries, take care πŸ™‚ Nice - let me know what you think of it

2020-03-12 21:51:53 UTC

Can someone explain how flat earth formed without using religion as an answer (I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in gods)

2020-03-12 21:54:50 UTC

tough one
