A piece of paper says at the top “written in 1995” and goes on to talk about the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Then someone gives it you today and says “I found this, it was written in 1995”
When was it written?
What’s the date range?
You said that there was references saying it was written and created in the middle ages, back up your claim instead of giving useless analogies.
**crickets**
how long did it take to write the full zohar
We’ll get there, I need you to answer the question first
It was created by a 2nd century AD rabbi, I don't KNOW how much time it took but it was passed down generation by generation.
I’ve already provided the quote for you, if you don’t want to scroll up you can answer my question
I asked you a question, why are you afraid to answer it? That’s two questions now your ignored
It was written in the Middle Ages
I backed up my claim
Answer the question- you have not backed your claim
Your sources disprove your own claim
Back up your claim and give me the references that says it was created in the middle ages.
Now I’m happy to respond, but you’ve ignored 2 of my questions
As soon as you answer them, I’ll answer yours
*crickets*
Are you not gonna provide a source or citation backing your claim like I did?
Yep, as soon as you answer my questions I’ll happily answer yours
Gotta have a little give and take here
Yep! As soon as you answer my questions
Happy to answer yours
But I’m not just going to be interrogated, gotta have some give and take
What a time killer, thought I could learn something new
Yep, happy to do so!
Now are you capable of answering my questions?
What are you afraid of exactly?
Not gonna hurt a bit I promise
Welp, guess he gave up.
In summary:
The Talmud was written in late antiquity
The Zohar was written in the Middle Ages
The Zohar references a round earth, but is not even close to the first document to do so.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Now I’m out, dm me if you want to revisit anything.
like i said waaay up there, a lot of our accepted "science" comes from mystic texts like the zohar and kaballah
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shimon_bar_Yochai ''with the authorship of the Zohar, the chief work of Kabbalah.'' @Deleted User Hopefully this is easier to understand for you
''was a 2nd-century tannaitic sage'' not Middle Ages
Mkay honey, so can you answer my questions?
