those sun rays in the picture posted by Derek, seem to show that the sun is not very high above us in the sky (like globies and flatties both claim) but that the sun is standing somewhere on earth (or very close to the ground) with the rays going upwards into the sky instead of downwards towards the earth

you wouldnt say "look i did cool kid jump" and then say "jumping is the propelling of one's body throughout the air going upward, you then descend because of gravity, which is a pulling force, earth has a gravity in which it holds this same system of pulling as a force, thus why jumping brings people downward at a point"
