But how can anyone be sure that in the future people will not universally say
"The earth is cubical."
If we are not certain that our current model will not change and cannot be improved by changing the shape, then we can conclude that we don't have the right shape.

@Derek Nelson It would be the size of a continent, the only way to photograph it in its entirety would be from space, and you disavow space pics no matter how real the are.
