Who said it was a sphere?

2020-02-20 14:27:16 UTC

oh dedar

2020-02-20 14:29:36 UTC

😂

2020-02-20 14:29:37 UTC

K.

2020-02-20 14:31:13 UTC

I dont know what else to say light curves around the earth because of refraction due to decrease in density with altitude

2020-02-20 14:32:17 UTC

No...

2020-02-20 14:32:19 UTC

U mean like this?

How does light curve around the Earth?

2020-02-20 14:33:09 UTC

I am talking about atmospheric refraction not gravitational but yeah it would look something like that

2020-02-20 14:33:23 UTC

<a:WumpusThumbsUp2:611211888595959842>

2020-02-20 14:33:29 UTC

it refracts around the earth

2020-02-20 14:33:41 UTC

I made an explanation let me copy and paste it for you

2020-02-20 14:34:13 UTC

when you point a laser directly forward the laser starts to gain altitude and so the air around it is less dense since light bends away from the normal which would be 90 degrees directly into the sky it will follow the earths curve

2020-02-20 14:38:43 UTC

There is no curve though.

2020-02-20 14:39:13 UTC

Curve of space time

2020-02-20 14:39:48 UTC

I am saying that in a globe earth the curvature is hidden by atmospheric refraction

2020-02-20 14:40:23 UTC

and so you have to significantly increase the range of your observation to actually see objects disappear below the horizon

2020-02-20 14:41:26 UTC

and spacetime curvature is undeniably real which proves that space is real

2020-02-20 14:42:02 UTC

because if you look around the sun during a solar eclipse you can see that the apparent position of the stars has changed in exact accordance to general relativity

2020-02-20 14:46:07 UTC

and if you look at stars with exoplanets you can see them wobble and that wobble is caused by the gravity of those exoplanets effecting the parent star

2020-02-20 14:48:26 UTC

and in case you want to that those exoplanets are not real and those stars are just wobbling for whatever reason sometimes you can see them eclipse around those stars which is detectable by observing how those stars dim when they obscure some of our view of those stars

2020-02-20 14:54:28 UTC

u want a ban?

2020-02-20 14:54:37 UTC

who

2020-02-20 14:54:45 UTC

Nio obvs

2020-02-20 14:58:05 UTC

yeah the more time I spend here the more increasingly hard I find it to believe that these people actually believe in this

2020-02-20 15:04:01 UTC

not only that but with the proximity that flat earthers tell us that the moon has to us when we view the moon when it is close to the horizon it would have to either A. appear elliptical to us (thats if the moon was flat) or B. we would see new features of the moon (if the moon were spherical)

2020-02-20 15:05:08 UTC

dont judge the thing youre stood on by the light bulb on the ceiling eh

2020-02-20 15:05:34 UTC

Science has proven time an again a flat motionless eart

2020-02-20 15:06:43 UTC

unfortunately I cant according to flat earth the moon is a totally impossible object.

2020-02-20 15:06:53 UTC

your moon distance only exists because of an added assumption, so youre the ones with egg on your faces!

2020-02-20 15:07:10 UTC

Bolt no trolling

2020-02-20 15:08:31 UTC

explain moon distance please!?

2020-02-20 15:08:44 UTC

but if your saying the moon were any further out then it would be visible across the entire earth

2020-02-20 15:08:55 UTC

im asking you the maths please

2020-02-20 15:09:05 UTC

how is it determined to be almost 400,000km

2020-02-20 15:09:59 UTC

well you could probably use tides to confirm its mass

2020-02-20 15:10:21 UTC

tides are not proof, an also not caused by the moon.
