Or in other words "1000 mph spin is far too fast and unreasonable! Much more realistic to just be travelling upwards at 5000000000000 mph!"
Lmao, I see the logic
Also, another thing I've thought of, they say things seem to disappear the farther away they go due to perspective, but what if you have a helicopter far away that you can clearly see. It's not moving towards you or away from you, but it's landing and it disappears behind the horizon
I don't think that explanation of perspective would work

1) Debunked many times. Just beacause you state you're 'taking into account other effects' does not mean you have.
2) Refraction over water.
3) Out of focus.
Does the video imply the moon emits it's own light?
I'm confused
Does anyone else believe that the world is a decagon? It makes sense when you think about it also hi guys i'm new here
I recommend people make the primary observations instead of regurgitating their beliefs in secondary information @Pit Droid π΄
+ I don't preach beliefs, I am asking to compare results to reduce the false variables @Trixxle π΅
It's good to be a "globe skeptic" with an open mind @Retro Gaming Central π€
i believe that the moon is a hologram and bees can't fly
thanks
Well, props for actually doing experiments anyway, I respect that @Howard George Stirrup
Did not notice it was your own video
i mean how can bees fly.According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Anyways as i was saying the earth is a triangle
Oh god
I respect the meme knowledge but I don't think this is the place
<:confused:625494374402228244>
i'm just kidding the earth is a sphere and alabama doesn't exist thats my genuine theory to some extent though the world could be a triangle but i am not sure
i would appreciate some theories/clarification
The earth is round

@Howard George Stirrup In which case I give more constructive feedback.
2) We'd need the temperature, exact height, temperature gradient, pressure yadda yadda to test the level of refraction. Usually you would expect a large amount of refraction over water or ice, as you expect the temperature to increase vertically, as well as vary steeply from the water surface. From your video, it looks like there may be significant distortion generally in the atmosphere, though this is harder to claim as the resolution of the zoomed in footage is poor (though also could be from the atmosphere).
3) Is definitely out of focus/another example of seeing atmospherc 'boiling'. Again, due to the atmosphere being a variable place.
The earth is round

damn
Anyone else?
no
not that i can see anyways
you were saying pit droid
the earth isn't round pal, round is too vague that could be round and flat. Now i would say the earth is a sphere which is the correct term
1) Is a weird one. I find this hard to debunk as I really don't understand the logic in the first place other than some things are hot, while others are cold. There is a host of evidence that moonlight is a reflection of sunlight. You can look at the spectra of both. When measuring the moonlight temperature you cannot just point at stuff here and there outside. The temperature of the atmosphere/what was there in the day/clouds/whatever/wind throws in so many unaccounted variables besides radiative effects that realistically you need a vacuum and a lab.
i honestly believe the earth is a sphere although i am on this server to hear what the flat earthers think,my mate Boris thinks the world is flat and healthcare is not real so i wanna know why
