@everyone
QOTD: What are the hidden causes of the downturn in the global securities market over the past two weeks, and is this a short-term correction or the beginning of the next recession?

2020-03-13 13:09:09 UTC

my best guess is that the guys in suits don't know what's going to happen causing them to panic.
Like Brexit except on a way larger scale

2020-03-13 13:10:02 UTC

Market is generally unstable, there's no meaningful difference between a correction or a recession except whether the trust is regained afterwards.

Trust will not be regained, this will cause a crisis of confidence in the concept of global capitalism, not endgame stuff, but it'll suck.

2020-03-13 13:10:14 UTC

Fake news media fueling mass hysteria in order to make President look bad

2020-03-13 13:10:48 UTC

Corona was needed to wipe the slate from the previous bullrun

2020-03-13 13:11:15 UTC

Old ik

The federal reserve is partially responsible for creating a bubble that we currently have in the housing and car loans area. Though the corona virus is the main cause these bubbles played a factor as well.

2020-03-13 15:16:13 UTC

The economy is my least concern. All this recession will create is justification for the world government, give it 9-12 months

2020-03-13 15:33:34 UTC

you would think there would be a bigger resistance against globalism due to the kung flu.

2020-03-13 16:42:16 UTC

Nah. It's the Liquidity that will cause the next global recession

2020-03-13 17:01:23 UTC

^^^^^^

2020-03-13 17:01:27 UTC

Credit crisis

2020-03-13 17:01:36 UTC

@everyone Daily Question πŸ”–

**-** How should education be reformed or changed? What is the ideal education system, everything from funding down to what to teach?

2020-03-13 17:37:19 UTC

dont teach people anything besides what they need for their job

2020-03-13 17:37:30 UTC

I dont really have a say in the matter but schools should teach you who to vote for how to get a job and how to do your taxes

2020-03-13 17:37:31 UTC

education is a shot in the foot for your society

2020-03-13 17:37:32 UTC

Less focus on compulsory schooling and academic stuff. More focus on developing the character of the person

2020-03-13 17:37:49 UTC

full on legalization of home schooling
segregated schools
cut stuff that isn't necessary day to day and re-introduce home ec and how to do paperwork

2020-03-13 17:37:58 UTC

Less education, more ~~brainwashing~~ teaching the children to be proud ~~slaves~~ servants of the glorious state

2020-03-13 17:39:10 UTC

Oml what happened to the question of the day ping?

2020-03-13 17:39:25 UTC

Our education should be reformed to teach the following:
Math Science Technology Engineering Art Philosophy Economics Physics History and most important of all Civics

2020-03-13 17:40:45 UTC

This natsyn copy pastes this stuff

2020-03-13 17:40:46 UTC

wack

2020-03-13 17:41:47 UTC

Abolish paid meals in k-12 school, create training programs for school cooks to be trained to create real meals, and transition from frozen food to locally sourced fresh ingredients, from which the trained cooks can create a variety of healthy meals

Require a masters to teach in 9-12Β

9-12 Pay increased to a minimum of $80,000 with a $5,000 increase every year to a maximum of $100,000. A degree above masters will change this to a minimum of $100,000 to a maximum of $130,000. K-8 Pay to a minimum of $50,000 to a maximum of $80,000Β

No income tax for those working at a school (not district staff)

2020-03-13 17:42:51 UTC

School starts when a child is 7 years old

Shorten school hours from ~7 hours to ~5 hours for 9-12 to reflect a more specialized curriculum

New schools should not be constructed with modernist architecture, incentives to build in a Classical Fashion

No standardized testing until 9th Grade

No grading until 6th gradeΒ

Greater autonomy for teachers in what they can teach

Audits must be done without the knowledge of the school or teachers to ensure as unbiased and true-to-life representation of the school

2020-03-13 17:43:29 UTC

That i can agree with Doctor Anon

2020-03-13 17:43:34 UTC

fire teachers if they bring their personal politics

2020-03-13 17:44:34 UTC

School systems?

2020-03-13 17:44:37 UTC

yeah the catch is

2020-03-13 17:44:40 UTC

let's look at canada

2020-03-13 17:44:46 UTC

Canada pays HS teachers 90K

2020-03-13 17:44:49 UTC

they get overzealous

2020-03-13 17:44:59 UTC

they go on strike action due to cuts

2020-03-13 17:45:02 UTC

I think that schools should also teach personal finance
