But when you have the right guy

2020-01-17 17:26:50 UTC

In the right place

2020-01-17 17:26:59 UTC

At the exact right time

2020-01-17 17:27:14 UTC

It seems like more than luck

2020-01-17 17:27:16 UTC

We have free will in terms of like, what I'm gonna eat or how I'm gonna pay off a mortgage, but not in terms of salvation.

2020-01-17 17:28:14 UTC

Because Hitler was just barely not hit by artillery due to feeling a sudden urge to just walk away

2020-01-17 17:28:33 UTC

That shit doesn't just happen to people without some divine intervention

2020-01-17 17:29:21 UTC

^ or its called luck/coincidence

2020-01-17 17:29:37 UTC

@Shalopy But on that, what basis is there for organized religion to exist at all?

2020-01-17 17:29:40 UTC

Did you read all that I just said

2020-01-17 17:29:48 UTC

Or just the last bit

2020-01-17 17:29:51 UTC

Because if everyone is already predestined to hell or heaven, what's the point?

2020-01-17 17:29:51 UTC

yeah its your opinion.

2020-01-17 17:30:04 UTC

just cuz you "feel its more than luck!" doesnt mean its not.

2020-01-17 17:30:31 UTC

before christianity, romans saw luck as a divine blessing from the goddess fortuna (fortune)

2020-01-17 17:30:45 UTC

Nigga all of religion is belief unless you have seen it with your own eyes, which I doubt you have

2020-01-17 17:30:53 UTC

?

2020-01-17 17:31:29 UTC

So what's the point of saying, "well that's just what you believe"

2020-01-17 17:31:47 UTC

>subjectivity

2020-01-17 17:31:54 UTC

😬

2020-01-17 17:37:45 UTC

Subjectivity is real

2020-01-17 17:43:35 UTC

@Deleted User are you Christian

2020-01-17 17:45:17 UTC

No, I'm Yiddish

2020-01-17 17:45:25 UTC

Of course I'm Christian lmao

2020-01-17 17:55:29 UTC

@Maksim Whether or not we have free will is irrelevant to God, as he knows all. And while we may be destined to fate, it is objective to act as if we do at all times so that we do not fall into acts of laziness, lust, or other afflictions.

2020-01-17 17:56:53 UTC

but its relevant to us.

2020-01-17 18:35:27 UTC

Ok

2020-01-17 18:35:34 UTC

And?

2020-01-17 18:35:48 UTC

It is irrelevant to a God

2020-01-17 18:39:11 UTC

says who @Deleted User

2020-01-17 18:39:12 UTC

u?

2020-01-17 18:39:19 UTC

you know what god thinks?

2020-01-17 19:09:47 UTC

No. None of us do. But do our lives, whether fateful or by will, truly effect how a God would function?

2020-01-17 19:09:51 UTC

I think not

2020-01-17 19:54:56 UTC

Man is made in the image of God which means he has Will. But is still restricted by God's realm and his higher will

2020-01-17 21:03:12 UTC

I've heard Calvinists believe heaven and hell is predetermined but I view religion through a metaphorical lense. How I see it is if I lead a good life and do good by those around me they'll view me in a positive light after I die so in their minds I'll be in some sort of heaven, and the opposite for some sort of hell of course.

2020-01-17 22:27:46 UTC

@Koninos Eyes are deceptive. For example, is sunrise and sunset real. no,. small minded beings can't determine things out of their plain of perception. Even when we do determining Good & Evil is always distorted. Think of humans as a goldfish in a fish bowl. Thank you

2020-01-18 00:18:07 UTC

No

2020-01-18 00:19:35 UTC

@Deleted User If your response consists of “no” genuinely fuck off
