The highest authority within Christianity, has been, forever will be, Christ himself. The heresy of the papacy is the fact the title of Pope has long since been bastardized to claim they, the office of pontiff and more directly the man in the high chair, is the manifestation of Christ himself. Which is, nothing short of bewildering when considering their dogma of the Trinity. Thus, they are saying, either once elected or possibly right after coronation, the spirit of God is transfixed to the person assuming the role of Pope and remains in such until death do them part?
