I would rather study with the eastern Orthodox, though of the Holy Roman, I've read Benedict's Let God's Light Shine Through, last summer. The man seems genuine enough I wouldn't mind going through The Two Popes book before I pick up another Twelve Tribes walking papers.

Dark Lotus is rooted in American Protestantism. Though, harken back to Catholicism, of the American branch of the holy Roman order, you've got Jake and Elwood. An emissary to the eastern Orthodox prior to any pontiff visit, well there's DIO.

the papacy is heresy

2020-02-02 17:51:09 UTC

there should be no high authority in Christianity

2020-02-02 17:51:10 UTC

just priests and patriarchs

2020-02-02 18:19:53 UTC

The highest authority within Christianity, has been, forever will be, Christ himself. The heresy of the papacy is the fact the title of Pope has long since been bastardized to claim they, the office of pontiff and more directly the man in the high chair, is the manifestation of Christ himself. Which is, nothing short of bewildering when considering their dogma of the Trinity. Thus, they are saying, either once elected or possibly right after coronation, the spirit of God is transfixed to the person assuming the role of Pope and remains in such until death do them part? Idk. I've given my basic thesis on the matter already and restate for clarity. I do not believe I hold a greater role in His (Christ our Lord) kingdom than the Pope and due to his physical age, I still am under any advice be given from the elder brother. I thus sustain the man even tho I may disagree with the position and suggest he do more with the tireless conflict in the holy land rather than push political agendas in the west.

2020-02-02 18:49:59 UTC

The Pope is the vicar of Christ, the person holds the office of Pope. To my knowledge it is never claimed that the person represents Christ.

2020-02-02 19:54:26 UTC

@Eoppa I'll try to find it again. It's been awhile but there was a YouTube video which spoke against Catholicism and used some words spoken by previous Popes to push said narrative.

@JowJow Von Bismarck @OrthoGoat which Bible do you subscribe to?

2020-02-02 23:06:08 UTC

Is the papacy a divine institution?

2020-02-02 23:09:01 UTC

@Shalopy no. It an inspired leadership. They do not hold the proper keys to the priesthood.

2020-02-02 23:13:34 UTC

Papal primacy is interesting as it was determined by a secular authority, that is, whether the Roman or the Eastern bishop in Constantinople had primacy.

2020-02-02 23:25:13 UTC

@Shalopy bishops (of the Catholic order) still do not hold higher keys to the priesthood which Russell Ⓜ Nelson is unanimously elected acting president of. Though, I'm sure if any any Pope were to enter the Temple of Jesus Christ (by his latter day saints) of greater Rome, he could conduct all the ceremonies and confirmations any other ordinance therein is being moved.

2020-02-02 23:32:45 UTC

Ah, you're mormon then, right?

2020-02-02 23:38:54 UTC

2020-02-03 00:31:03 UTC

@Shalopy am I? Mormon is generally perceived as the good character.
I don't see myself in such a kindly role. I am, nonetheless, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints.

We stand for organized terror - this should be frankly admitted. Terror is an absolute necessity during times of revolution. Our aim is to fight against the enemies of the Soviet Government and of the new order of life. We judge quickly. In most cases only a day passes between the apprehension of the criminal and his sentence. When confronted with evidence criminals in almost every case confess; and what argument can have greater weight than a criminal's own confession?
