But do we become saved by our own efforts
Or does God make us saved
the point of the verse is that you're not to feel pride for being in grace
it isn't an achievement
We become saved through faith and grace, you can however lose your salvation through mortal sin
only through God's mercy are you saved, not by what you did
Ah
Now, God made his promises to Abraham and to his descendant. The scripture does not use the plural “descendants,” meaning many people, but the singular “descendant,” meaning one person only, namely, Christ.
Galatians 3:16
Dosenr this refute the entire concept of Jews being chosen ones
are you looking at some prot website and just copying their examples
These are verses I have saved
That's a verse
Gntd
the Jews were the chosen people until Christ came to earth
since then their purpose has been fulfilled
Abraham's covenant was with the people of Israel, that's pretty clear
they're now equal to us
Below I thought
Are they not the children of Satan?
no
People who claim to be of the Jewish faith are
the religion is about as evil as any non-christian religion is
The Jewish faith has not existed since the birth of Christ
All non Christian religions are demonic
they may do evil things
but they aren't unsaveable
If you allow the devil to act through you, he will
if they repent they're just as eligible for salvation as anyone else
they aren't like permanently bound as below us, if that's what you're implying
@Draško Can someone be or do anything such as they literally cannot enter heaven
i'm pretty sure that judas iscariot is dogmatically in hell
if you believe that you can't be saved then you can't be saved
that's the unforgivable sin
in the bible called "blasphemy against the holy spirit"
but that's what it essentially means
If you stop believing that, you can be saved of course
It's not a permanent thing like some people allege
