I think it's wrong to drink excessively
what if someone is born with psychopathy disorder? how do they determine what is right and wrong?
brb, lunch
Other people don't have to respect that
What psycopathy disorder
Psychopaths can't because they don't feel emotions
At least not in the same way you or I do
It's a mental disorder
yes
and how would you explain to them any moral proposition you have?
I have no idea I've never interacted with a psychopath
To my knowledge anyway
when i say that without God there are no morals, what I mean is that there's no way to logically justify any morals you might hold
i'm not saying that you're going to go out and kill babies
But they aren't validated to you because I don't serve a higher power
they're only validated to you yourself, no? because there is no logical justification for following any
Well there's the law
Which fine
But I also don't have very many urges to commit heinous acts
Yeah there's technically nothing stopping me from doing them
But that doesn't mean christ needed to stop me from feeling that it's wrong
Because I know on a basic level
It's wrong
@Draško Doesn't the Bible say gentiles have the law of Moses in their hearts, while Jews do not
Basically saying the gentiles are capable of being moral to a degree
Emotions prevent me from being an awful person
While the Jews require enforced laws to be moral
I don't need to justify my morals and if no one accepts them then fine I'll find a clique who does
but i also said that in a secular world you cant justify it
Yes
they can definitely be moral
Yes
So in a world run by Christian morality we have killers, pedos, and terrible people?
Nice
You don’t need a higher authority to follow basic morality. Religion is a social contract implemented into other humans. That’s why we invented it in the first place.
>follow basic morality
bro... there's no such thing as basic morality if there is no God
and no, that's not why religion was invented, lol
talking about other religions of course
