God, christians are whacky
what are your views?
i used to be a baptist, but now I'd call myself an atheist
wait
you must be joking
you really don't know what frescography is?
@moira I was born and raised LDS. I love fellowshipping, studying with and of other Christian denominations & religious concepts. Still, the, "Mormon" church is what rings most true to me.
Though, admittedly, I do not walk the "straight and narrow". I've stayed often and far from the set narrative, dogma, of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and am clawing my way back.
hmm, I've never really agreed with the Mormon narrative.
I believe the Protestant narrative is closest to Scripture
lol...
you haven't even read the scripture
I have, I studied Bible quite a bit in school.
I went to a school where Bible was taught.
and you think that protestantism is true to faith?
so i gave read a bit
okay
no judging
sorry for the aggressive tone
i've been really mean to you friend
no worries it's been a while but I believe we studied Mormonism as well
I'm not familiar with all of Mormonism's interpretations, mind refreshing me?
I believe Protestantism was more of a returning to roots
after people got fed up with the corrupt Catholic church that is
it's kind of impossible for protestantism to be correct, scripturally
these people believe that everyone was wrong for 1500 years and then they got back on the right path
but that's impossible
if the church were to fall, it would be armageddon
hmm not exactly
the Catholic church was wrong, and there were protestant sentiments through out it's reign.
but the Protestant reformation was more of a tipping point
although you could accuse certain catholic practices as being immoral, catholic dogma was never wrong
to any major degree at least
us and the roman catholics disagree on very few things
the idea of purgatory, is very unbiblical
which is a big teaching in the Catholic church
yeah we skip that one
In brief: 200 years ago (during the second Great Awakening) a young boy by the name of Joseph Smith Junior was reading the Bible when he came across James 1:5
the next day he went out to the woods near his home in upstate New York, to pray. Soon he was visited by God the Father and Jesus Christ, whom proceeded to expound upon him the narrative that No Church Was True. . .
Later on, he was visited by the angel Moroni who showed him the record of his people, aka the plates of brass.
also if you would be so kindly to refresh me on the Mormon view of marriage?
One moment please and I'll fetch the official proclamation...
