@Gothik Extravaganza the burden of proof is on you pal.
show me that the greek translation says otherwise
even if you meet Jesus once that does not give you the right to add to the Bible
or the greek original, that is
@moira Christ had disciples in the promised land as well.
you know how many saints have witnessed angels, the apostles, other saints in their visions?
else that would mean the pharisees or the doubters who met him and did not believe can add to it
when did they edit the Bible?
Jesus Christ stopped living an earthly life LONG before Joseph Smith
best part is when josep smith literally adds verses to genesis
so it looks like there's a prophecy of him
LOL
> @Gothik Extravaganza the burden of proof is on you pal.
@Draško "begging the question* by resorting to the most basic logical cop out. Where do I need reproof on?
that's not the logical cop out
i've shown you that the book of revelation debunks mormonism
> you know how many saints have witnessed angels, the apostles, other saints in their visions?
@Draško do tell.
your claim is that the original greek doesn't say that
it's on you to prove that it doesn't
not on me
i'm not gonna fact check every silly claim you make
> Jesus Christ stopped living an earthly life LONG before Joseph Smith
@moira so says the atheist. Sorry if I discount you on account of your own admitted disbelief.
> i've shown you that the book of revelation debunks mormonism
When and where? Best DM me so I can gather it all without excess clutter of a chat room.
> that's not the logical cop out
@Draško then what do I need to prove to you?
I believe there is a God, and and believe Jesus died and rose again, however there are things in my personal life I struggle with.
Revelations 22:18–19
" warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll."
it is much more complicated than what you think
excuse me for taking credit for lux's work
here, this debunks mormonism
now I believe it is your turn for a rebuttal
and if he came to see Joseph Smith that would be the second coming, no? so then why did none of the other events prophesized to happen along with the second coming never happen?
> I believe there is a God, and and believe Jesus died and rose again, however there are things in my personal life I struggle with.
@moira cool story bro. Then why did you previously call yourself an atheist?
as I said it is more complicated, and so far you have not put up an ACTUAL rebuttal
if the guy is struggling with something personal don't bug him about it
all you have done is tried to derail
if he's an atheist and willing to have a discussion with you then respect that he's even doing it
@moira it's because he knows he's wrong and on full damage control. this is how he argued yesterday as well
maybe mormonism was able to bring itself up in uneducated 18th century america, but whenever they argue with a theologian of another denom they don't stand a chance
@Draško I've already debunked that Revelations bit. You want I should do the leg work and provide actual citations as to which book was written last and when they were all gathered and arranged? Without looking, I think one of Paul's letters was last to be written. Might've been 2nd corinthians. Just ask and I'll research.
feel free to debunk it again
if you already wrote the debunking you can just copy your text
what does that have to do with anything?
are you denying that the revelation of John is a legitimate book?
