I'd like to archive it

2020-02-24 20:52:56 UTC

I think Pope should be first among equals type of thing

2020-02-24 20:53:08 UTC

That's just my opinion tho

2020-02-24 20:53:30 UTC

i think the Pope should have as much power as God

2020-02-24 20:53:34 UTC

that's how it was

2020-02-24 22:33:01 UTC
2020-02-24 22:33:14 UTC

You're asserting the Pope is on equal footing to God?

2020-02-24 22:34:25 UTC

I'd argue thatt the Pope is superior to god

2020-02-24 22:34:55 UTC

king

2020-02-24 22:35:00 UTC

@Sentient23 Stop shit posting in this channel

2020-02-24 22:35:19 UTC

Before I detain you

2020-02-24 22:41:27 UTC

What power the Pope has is up to God

2020-02-24 22:41:57 UTC

aight

2020-02-24 22:42:02 UTC

i gotchu fam

2020-02-24 22:42:06 UTC

Whatever the Pope declares is from heaven and is binding to you and all of us

2020-02-24 22:42:19 UTC

we'll debate doctrine in the following months

2020-02-24 22:42:25 UTC

Okie

2020-02-24 22:42:40 UTC

i'm planning to heavily study the trinity and ee during the summer but i want to do it through intense prayer and fast

2020-02-24 22:42:42 UTC

just in case

2020-02-24 22:42:58 UTC

I mean EE isn't the most important point to me

2020-02-24 22:43:13 UTC

That was a digression, I haven't studied it much either

2020-02-24 22:43:18 UTC

the trinity is the most important thing, but it's heavily linked to ee

2020-02-24 22:43:25 UTC

I'm screenshotting this right now. Once drasko starts investigating Dogma and history of Catholic-Orthotard relations, he will eventually convert to catholicism.

2020-02-24 22:43:29 UTC

should i say the other way around

2020-02-24 22:43:33 UTC

ee is linked to the trinity

2020-02-24 22:43:59 UTC

If you assert that, then Palamas taught heresy imo

2020-02-24 22:44:20 UTC

if you're gonna say that he taught heresy then the issue you have with heresy is much older

2020-02-24 22:44:34 UTC

you'd consider our vision of the trinity as heretical, no?

2020-02-24 22:44:57 UTC

No

2020-02-24 22:45:01 UTC

But also yes

2020-02-24 22:45:09 UTC

i don't understand catholic trinity that much but to my knowledge you don't consider the Father to be above the other two persons

2020-02-24 22:45:19 UTC

no

Completely wrong, the filioque is a clarification, popes have said the creed without the filioque plenty of times. It is heresy to deny the primacy of the Father as the source of all.

2020-02-24 22:46:13 UTC

yeah i gotchu

2020-02-24 22:46:34 UTC

But it is heresy to deny the filioque

2020-02-24 22:46:42 UTC

Which is the heretical part

2020-02-24 22:47:17 UTC

it's our view that the HS is transmitted through the Son, but is not literally generated from Him

2020-02-24 22:48:08 UTC

a cathecumen friend has presented a compelling logical argument about this in another server, but since i don't understand it completely myself it'd be a bit impractical and hypocritical for me to present it to you

2020-02-24 22:48:16 UTC

i guess you'll have to be patient if you're looking for argument

2020-02-24 22:48:54 UTC

In our view that contradicts John 16:7 and theology regarding generation and such, but I'll respect that you don't wish to argue yet
