I think ancient humans may have been trying to build systems to counteract this problem, either in the way of engineering or developing a system to artificially augment earth's magnetic field
I used to be very intrigued by the cyclical nature of potential past human extinction events... But I still don’t think there is enough evidence for me to buy into it
