2020-03-12 01:52:54 UTC

Why?

2020-03-12 01:53:36 UTC

If God truly created everything why wouldn't it make sense for these stories to repeat infinitely?

2020-03-12 01:53:55 UTC

The mentally everything would be based off of the same thing

2020-03-12 01:54:19 UTC

Considering comparative mythology as a form of heresy is kind of smooth brained

2020-03-12 01:57:13 UTC

I think it's especially foolish do not consider the significance of a Bacchus cult Temple right next to the Temple of Baalbek

2020-03-12 01:57:29 UTC

Especially when Bacchus was crucified and there are hexagrams in the temple of Baalbek

2020-03-12 01:57:47 UTC

There are other religions that involve the three day Resurrection motif as well after being sent to hell.

2020-03-12 02:30:46 UTC

I feel like I'm in an asylum

2020-03-12 02:41:57 UTC

If Nazis are not supposed to read the Old Testament, and Christians are supposed to read it, then clearly, one cannot be a Nazi and a Christian at the same time

2020-03-12 12:30:25 UTC

Found three or four heretical articles in the *StΓΌrmer* and I've only finished 1935 and most of 1936.

2020-03-12 12:51:08 UTC

The Nazis weren't mainline Christians, they developed their own sect of ideological "positive" christianity which effectively disavowed the old testament and claimed Jesus was "Aryan"

2020-03-12 12:52:49 UTC

The Nazis wanted to phase out Christianity but they didn’t want to rush it

2020-03-12 12:54:14 UTC

There plan was to not actively persecute it like they did for Judaism but to incorporate it in the ideology until the war ended and then begin to discourage it slowly

2020-03-12 13:09:44 UTC

I don't think positive Christianity qualifies as Christianity. Doing away with any metaphysical claims was also part of the deal, at least to Rosenberg.

2020-03-12 13:11:42 UTC

That means Christianity would be a purely cultural matter, Christ would be relegated the role of "wise teacher".

2020-03-12 13:12:26 UTC

It's true, they eventually wanted to phase it out. Good way to put it.

2020-03-12 13:28:53 UTC

If you're going to go the way of positive Christianity you may as well learn vedanta and Buddhism.

2020-03-12 13:29:54 UTC

That's more true to Aryan identity than Christianity is.
