2020-03-15 00:31:56 UTC

@Tekka dont care its a cum drinker belief

2020-03-15 00:31:59 UTC

"Greenberg bases it on a reference to this one article, called "Runes, Mandrakes and Gallows", written by Jeannine Talley. She grossly misunderstands the Old Norse language in Hávamál 141 and arbitrarily asserts that frævask ~ frævaz(k) is a noun (!) that means 'cum'. Frævask is a verb. This is not only morphologically obvious but it is also crystal clear from the context. It is beyond dispute." The book that states odin is a cum guzzler is David F. Greenberg, The Construction of Homosexuality, on p. 248. Go suck a cock christcuck @Sentient23

2020-03-15 00:33:26 UTC

so what does "Frævask" mean as a verb? also what evidence did he give that it doesnt mean what he says it means

2020-03-15 00:33:38 UTC

this isnt proof lmao this is just someone else asserting your point

2020-03-15 00:34:35 UTC

im not exactly sure how Frævask would tranlsate to english, but i think it means like take life/take energy

2020-03-15 00:35:43 UTC

@Sentient23 if listing the 2 books with the page numbers and authors which this myth is based on isnt proof, you dont know what proof is

2020-03-15 01:09:37 UTC

@Tekka you're a pagan? I'd love to hear some arguments in favor of it.

2020-03-15 01:10:14 UTC

on what subject in particular @Eoppa

2020-03-15 01:10:34 UTC

Why be a pagan?

2020-03-15 01:11:28 UTC

why be a christian?

2020-03-15 01:12:47 UTC

I've had plenty of arguments about that, but I've never heard a pagan defend his beliefs, you aren't a large group.

2020-03-15 01:13:01 UTC

For example I would use the argument from motion or such

2020-03-15 01:13:34 UTC

there are many different types of paganism, i myself im vedic, but i have a perennial outlook on religion in general

2020-03-15 01:13:53 UTC

So do you have any argumentation for proof?

2020-03-15 01:14:30 UTC

> on what subject in particular @Eoppa

2020-03-15 01:14:38 UTC

The validity of paganism

2020-03-15 01:15:08 UTC

Something that would convince me to become a pagan or such

2020-03-15 01:17:06 UTC

Are you a Catholic @Eoppa ?

2020-03-15 01:17:35 UTC

Yes

2020-03-15 01:18:07 UTC

You validated it when you took our ideas lol

2020-03-15 01:18:30 UTC

@ComradeChaos you've become very boring to speak to, I'm sorry.

2020-03-15 01:18:50 UTC

Cope harder

2020-03-15 01:19:09 UTC

I'm boring to speak to because reality doesn't support your biases on what paganism is

2020-03-15 01:19:53 UTC

I don't mean to be rude, but I have no intention to debate you after our previous ones. I've had plenty of debates over whether Catholicism is pagan. But you make it unenjoyable for me to come to this chat anymore. I'd rather speak to pagans.

2020-03-15 01:20:38 UTC

Catholics clearly appropriated Qabalah as well as hermetic beliefs

2020-03-15 01:20:52 UTC

That's not to say they aren't Christian, but that is an act creating syncretism between religions

2020-03-15 01:21:29 UTC

paganism as whole is a very broad term that refers to native indo european faiths that revolve around the worship of nature. The core aspect of paganism is such, in hinduism its called sanatana dharma, in asatru its yggdrasil, depending on the branch it has a different name, but they all refer to the exact same thing, the unbreakable and eternal laws of the universe which everything has, does, and will abide by. Unlike monotheistic faiths which take on an exoteric outlook on live, paganism as a whole is esoteric. additionally paganism as a whole has had thousands upon thousands of more years of philosophy than any other religion @Eoppa

2020-03-15 01:22:09 UTC

actually i take that back esoteric isnt the right word

2020-03-15 01:22:20 UTC

but i cant describe it in another way

2020-03-15 01:22:20 UTC

But I asked something more specific, I don't care about the utility right now

2020-03-15 01:23:09 UTC

well then to get to that i musk ask you why cling to christianity? @Eoppa

2020-03-15 01:24:01 UTC

I justify it by metaphysics, historical apologetics, and miracles

2020-03-15 01:24:36 UTC

such as?

2020-03-15 01:25:01 UTC

In terms of miracles?

2020-03-15 01:25:09 UTC

no

2020-03-15 01:25:12 UTC

metaphysics
