Yes, that essentially bestows responsibility to humans.
We have power over them
@Deleted User I don't disagree
But if a termite is in my house im killing it
Right, but it doesn't say so let's be complete dicks to them. We have power over children, dominion over them. But we should look after them and help them prosper, not harm them. Same with Animals
No not the same
Children are spiritually equal, arguably superior to adults
Because they are innocent, such as Animals. Without sin.
Humans as a whole are spiritually above animals
I disagree. There's no reason to think that. If anything it's the opposite.
Animals have no soul
We are malicious and cruel as a species.
We do violence without need.
Animals do so with need and necessity.
And prove to me you have a soul and then say that.
When you can prove to me unequivocally you have a soul but an Animal doesn't I'll agree with you.
I have a soul because I am Human
That is circular reasoning.
No
It is the definition of it.
The Bible says a lot of things. Does it say Animals have no soul?
Pretty sure it does not.
Animal do have soul. But people have to understand that every animal needs to care about his race first. That's how to world works
Ecclesiastes 3:19
For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity.
What you are saying is vanity. It's folly.
This proves nothing
We all die a mortal death? And?
Do you not understand the scripture?
I can read
It clearly says that we are the same and to say otherwise is vanity.
Proverbs 12:10
Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
Termites are not beasts
Animals have Soul
Yes, they are. It's all living things. As said in the Bible
You are trying to find a loophole to justify your convenience and lack of mercy for other life.
how tf both of you remembers the bible so good?
I have it open in a tab.
You are grossly misinterpreting scripture, a sin. Ecclesiastes is talking about the grand picture - that as us humans are the same as animals because we all die a mortal death anyways. We are made distinct by spirituality and the ability to manipulate nature.
