@Eoppa sex should harm neither parties. lets go back to my older definition I gave for the function of sex that isn't reproductive, I stood by this:
"The sexual union must be a unifying act, where one partner is ideally complementary to another, such that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. To this end I say that the personality of anything can be object of sexual attention, provided it psychologically completes you in some way. Now if you genuinely need an animal to be your complementary, I will say that you are not normal and that you should not normalize your feelings in society. But that does not make it immoral. "
Perhaps we could say that the sexual relationship is actually damaging to the human, because they have tricked and conditioned themselves into a relationship that cannot give them what they desire, thus harming them in their pursuit of a false good. In this sense maybe we can say bestiality is wrong not because the animal is necessarily violated in any way, but rather the human is the one primarily harmed. It is immoral because it is not in your self-interest, as I think immorality must inherently be.
This of course rests on the proposition that the animal can never be psychologically complimentary to a human, that they lack something necessarily aligned with human nature to fulfill our needs. What this could be exactly, I'm not entirely sure, but at least we have a starting point

@OrthoGoat You still owe me a working definition of liberalism, bruh. Last time, you pointed out such tenets as "individuals exist", and "individualism should be enforced", and I have pointed out why these are meaningless.

2020-03-12 12:48:35 UTC

Cringe

2020-03-12 12:51:41 UTC

I have no idea what it even means.

2020-03-12 12:52:28 UTC

It would make sense if "liberals" proposed that the government should tear the family apart and force everyone to stand on his own legs, but I am not aware of any such experiment.

2020-03-12 12:56:23 UTC

Although the first half happened in some communist countries, where families were torn apart and people pushed into different communes. In China, they even painted family tables over before putting them in the communal kitchen, so that no one could sit at "his" table. Of course, it wasn't individualism, but collectivism. When the famine hit, it nevertheless turned into Hobbes war of everyone against everyone else. There's like a thousand stories of mothers murdering and eating their own children and then going mad, children digging out their dead grandparents and devouring their corpses... you can have egoism without individualism, is what I'm saying.

2020-03-12 12:58:55 UTC

Basing your worldview on spirituality is superior to a political framework. Part of the problem is that we continually reject it in favor of secular philosophy that is honestly half baked in comparison to the theosophical frameworks of ethics and morality driven by religious philosophy.

2020-03-12 12:59:36 UTC

Politics are gay and completely oriented around the aggregation and focusing of power and violence.

2020-03-12 13:00:43 UTC

Maybe if we cared about politics a little less western women wouldn't be insane harpies destroying themselves in the name of political progress lol

2020-03-12 13:05:47 UTC

What we have nowadays is individualism being incentivized, and a large part of that is played by the state. Parents can put their children into kindergarten at no expense (except public expense but we don't talk about it), children can put their parents and grandparents into retirement homes that are no doubt subsidized in some places, divorce is heavily incentivized in all kinds of ways, women are encouraged to work instead of staying at home. Mentality also plays a role, and in that regard, Germans suck. They all want to leave home at 20, and they seriously think of suing their parents. This stigma against living with your parents, also retarded, as well as anachronistic, as buying your own home or even renting an apartment just for yourself is hardly feasible anymore. I've decided in favor of travelling two hours a day instead of renting an apartment next to my workplace so that I could live with my family.

2020-03-12 13:08:59 UTC

I fully agree. Just realized it's related to what I was typing. If you want strong family values, nurture stronger family values. Don't count on the state to do it for you. Same goes for religious values, and a lot of other things. If you need to be paid to have dinner with your family or go to Church, you have no values. Get that beam out before you ask the cops to forcibly remove the speck from my eye.
