What do you do @Tea?
Yeah I had no idea and think it's interesting, especially since I have little knowledge in that field
another thing to mention is that what i know is only relevant to england and wales, NI and scotland have their own that i'd only be able to persuasively inform on not legally, same with the US and CA, and i think AUS as well
@Endecros pretty sure Scotland have the same court system just a few of their own laws right?
they have differing courts, and some other stuff, like for example markus went to a sherrif court for his trial but we dont have em here, it seems to just be a mag's court but perhaps with differing powers and a judge instead of 3 or more magistrates
i might be wrong on what i said earlier too, because i think we use case law from scotland thats legally authoritative, like one from Lanarkshire Health Board v (somethin i cant remember atm)
Oh shit, good thing i only need to know English law
Totally
aye, one reason why i personally believe you'd be better gettin a law degree in england instead of scotland, not because of the law itself being better or worse, theres just so many more clients
plus then theres not as much of a need for a conversion course
Would love to move to the US at some point but then I’d have to redo all the law work and fuck that
Does anybody have that comedy genius nigger meme?
@Spork molk Security manager, but my profession is software engineer.
That is many memes @Based Rai
👌🏻 noice
Fair, just an interest in law then? @Tea
@Spork molk My Uncle does it.
You’ve got connections lad
DInnae talk to him mate. I make my own bank.
a shame
Fair play then
@Spork molk Do you make bank?
but yeah, theirs is similar in a few ways to our from what i understand but you wouldnt have to redo literally everything, if you get a conversion course in whatever area of law it is, commercial law from what youve been saying, itd be enough, their firms might be less willing to take you on but other than that i cant imagine their being much else to worry about
@Tea no i make nothing
What area of law is best financially?
@Spork molk What do you study then?
Best law is commercial, i study law at college but volunteer mate
E.g you can get a 70k pupillage when you do commercial @Tea
Or just any area in contract really
Is pretty good
So you'll make stupid money once you're done then, Spork
i wouldnt know for sure, but i can advice on the opposite, dont do criminal advocacy (on of my ex tutors was an advocate and got paid wank)and dont be a paralegal if you can help it
@Tea hopefully so, got at least another 5 years till then but probably about 7
Still at least youre working towards it mate.
another thing is me and spork are speaking from different angles, i never touched law until i decided to get the degree, i did media & games design in college and didnt really like it so i had a gap year to make up my mind and decided on law, it sounds like spork is doing it properly and not just diving in
Anyone a mod on minecraft available?
How come Tea?
Aya's stuck in spawn.
