isnt this kinda what conservatism is tho? its just conserving the status quo. conserving how society already, and at max you might think it would be better like 20 years ago or smt.
a conservative might think it was better when people werent flaunting their sexuality around so much. a reactionary think it was better when we killed gays.
because as I see it, the like between conservative and progressive can get rather blurry at Times. no one is totally progressive and no one is totally conservative
