and the inspectors are all corrupt

When the inspector comes to the island they just shutter all the dodgy busineses

and he inspects the few legit ones

the shuttered businesses are perfectly obvious

but he doesn't do those ones cus they're shuttered

a good 80% of the island is shut down

then he fucks off back on the Ferry

and everything opens again

the Ferry to the island is 10 hours from Athens

they have guys in Athens at the port watching for nonsense and you have that 10 hours notice
