The consensus is going to be a result of Chinese, not Western research, most likely

2018-10-26 19:44:13 UTC

in China 100% of biological anthropologists believe race is a valid scientific concept

2018-10-26 19:44:15 UTC

compared to like

2018-10-26 19:44:20 UTC

40% in Eastern Europe

2018-10-26 19:44:23 UTC

and lower in the West

2018-10-26 19:44:32 UTC

They're not afraid to do research into the genetic structure of IQ

2018-10-26 19:44:33 UTC

inb4 chinese scientists conclude the yerrow man is best man

2018-10-26 19:44:43 UTC

Well they're not wrong in some aspects

2018-10-26 19:45:16 UTC

they'd be very wrong

2018-10-26 19:45:19 UTC

Don't have to be a scientist to know how to read peer reviewed research studies.

2018-10-26 19:45:37 UTC

Sure

2018-10-26 19:45:39 UTC

But probably best to find a direct source rather than a secondary source

2018-10-26 19:45:41 UTC

You can read them

2018-10-26 19:45:44 UTC

race is irrelecvant

2018-10-26 19:46:15 UTC

But the moment you start drawing your own conclusions, and the moment you try and explain these things. then yes you would have to be a scientist or at least have some scientific education @Crasseus

2018-10-26 19:46:42 UTC

You don't

2018-10-26 19:46:46 UTC

You do

2018-10-26 19:46:46 UTC

You shouldn't draw your own conclusions when the study literally tells you the conclusions or results of the study

2018-10-26 19:47:02 UTC

Well

2018-10-26 19:47:10 UTC

Sometimes scientists misrepresent their research in the abstract

2018-10-26 19:47:19 UTC

Many times they SPECULATE in the abstract

2018-10-26 19:47:20 UTC

They do that a lot

2018-10-26 19:47:24 UTC

and you're free to disagree with their speculations

2018-10-26 19:47:31 UTC

pretty much most research that the left uses does that

2018-10-26 19:47:34 UTC

yeah

2018-10-26 19:47:55 UTC

and natsocs

2018-10-26 19:48:19 UTC

I'd say "far right" if it actually had meaning but I see the term as a meme

2018-10-26 19:48:37 UTC

Then if I were to read that study, I'd disregard it and aknowledge the need for further more accurate studies. Because if they're misrepresenting in the abstract, hard to say if they did anything else accurately.

2018-10-26 19:48:49 UTC

Founding Fathers were far right

2018-10-26 19:49:23 UTC

fake news

2018-10-26 19:49:34 UTC

Because you're not there overseeing their study so it's hard to tell. And many studies do come under scrutiny for inaccuracy or flaws

2018-10-26 19:50:54 UTC

I had to do a research paper just recently on a study, and the study laid out flaws in past studies and they worked to improve the method in their own study to find more accurate results.

2018-10-26 19:51:12 UTC

One other thing, I think calling this question "race and IQ" is very bad

2018-10-26 19:51:22 UTC

and research on race and IQ in general wouldn't be the best

2018-10-26 19:51:42 UTC

I think it would be bad for society as it would fuel racism among the less intelligent

2018-10-26 19:52:16 UTC

I mean, I think it's better to only research genetics and IQ

2018-10-26 19:52:42 UTC

While at the same time, I do think research is needed to understand our species better

2018-10-26 19:52:56 UTC

well yes, but I think bringing race into it is largely unnecesarry

2018-10-26 19:53:19 UTC

It WOULD be unnecessary if white people weren't blamed for the disparities in racial outcomes

2018-10-26 19:53:20 UTC

Sadly race is indeed an aspect to it.

2018-10-26 19:53:24 UTC

but we are so it is a relevant political aspect
