But I see the argument that we need to keep industry in the USA for war

If you have Texas and California you have a huge chance of winning

You would need Industry so we can make our own weapons and stuff

You could have a tariff on weapon exports

So other countries dont get anything

But thats not what’s happening we are not in a major war and the tariffs arent on the military industry either

Why we can just import them

We need to be self sufficient

So we can survive on our own, we cant depend on other countries. Europe is screwed

Economically I do not support tariffs though

If you want a strong military you need to be able to cheaply import weapons

But what if the country we import weapons from declares war on us

Then we buy from somewhere else or make them ourselves

My point is we cannot depend on other countries for weapons
