FDR was a classic democrat
He’d be a democrat today, his big government policies, I mean this is the dude who invented the social security
However if you mean dems started to be big gov then, then no.
Woodrow Wilson was before shim, and he created the FED. That guy was the mother of big gov
Abraham Lincoln would be far from a dem
There’s other presidents like Coolidge and Harding who are your classic small gov Republicans today
In the 1910s and 1900s were like this
This is the most dishonest thing I’ve seen. He started 2 illegal wars, and bombed 4 other countries, using 100k bombs over his entire 2 terms
Must have been forgetting Vietnam and the countless other international made by democrats
Seems to be declining for years under Obama but in 2016 it goes up but goes down again and continues
But recently a big up swing has taken place
The highest point since 2013
Yes and he knows, but large amount of progress has been made in relations between the two countries and SK. But if a deal is bad it’s bad, another opportunity will be coming. However NK is no longer a threat as it was all those years.
@sɪᴅɪsɴᴏᴛʜᴇʀᴇ The years before FDR, Democrats and Republicans were all over the place in the political spectrum, which explains why Wilson created the FED.
@sɪᴅɪsɴᴏᴛʜᴇʀᴇ The big up swing occurred after a decline during Trump's term. If you compare the current position to the position at the end of Obama's term, you can see that the current position, is only slightly higher. The downward trend stopped in 2015. Since then, it has only stabilized.
@Anon365 yeah the big swing up happened after a small decline but that’s been the case for every point, it goes up and down but the trend is up.
I don’t remember democrats and reps being all over the place
True dems and reps may have been more free market between them
But dems were more big gov at the 1880s
Repubs were plenty big gov during the Progressive era
They established environmental, corporate, antitrust, consumer protection regulations
The Repubs shifted more conservative going into the 1920s
Dude visitor reps were small gov , pro business since the 1800s
Not even close to 20s
Harding was in the 1900s the same
