https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_the_healthcare_systems_in_Canada_and_the_United_States Uh idk where you got the impression that health care is more expensive in Canada, it's far more expensive in teh US

2018-10-10 17:30:59 UTC

"In 2004, Canada government-spending was $2,120 (in US dollars) per person, while the United States government-spending $2,724. ... However, U.S. government spending covers less than half of all healthcare costs. Private spending is also far greater in the U.S. than in Canada."

2018-10-10 17:31:04 UTC

We're spending more and getting less

2018-10-10 17:31:58 UTC

Fact is whenever developed countries have their health care systems measured for cost effectiveness the US is always behind countries that have more robust socialized systems. And yeah, our socialized systems need improvement, but I think they help the people

2018-10-10 17:32:58 UTC

except our healthcare is of similar quality hmm I wonder why that is. Maybe it's because the US develops the large majority of medical necessities and makes the most modern breakthrough and puts the most into research. And in order to make up for that more needs to be charged at the reception

2018-10-10 17:33:11 UTC

nobody thinks

2018-10-10 17:33:22 UTC

CANADA ROCKS, canada fucking sucks

2018-10-10 17:33:31 UTC

all other countries benefit from the US

2018-10-10 17:33:35 UTC

Medically

2018-10-10 17:33:38 UTC

Militarily

2018-10-10 17:33:42 UTC

Economically

2018-10-10 17:34:09 UTC

And then says the US needs to be more like them because of statistics that say the US is behind because of its efforts to make everyone else ina better position

2018-10-10 17:34:17 UTC

read up

2018-10-10 17:34:28 UTC

go talk to a biotechnology teacher for a highschool

2018-10-10 17:34:37 UTC

they know more than you could fathom about this shit

2018-10-10 17:34:40 UTC

don't tell me to read up, you're just bringing up random points that are true as though I'm not aware of them

2018-10-10 17:34:50 UTC

they all relate to this

2018-10-10 17:34:59 UTC

dude I literally just graduated in bioengineering... I know a good amount about the current medical system

2018-10-10 17:35:15 UTC

good for you, you still dont

2018-10-10 17:35:41 UTC

and all of this relates because socialized systems are great when you have the biggest power in the world as your big brother

2018-10-10 17:35:49 UTC

that's really cool that you have come to that conclusion without citing any evidence, while I've been the one sending you studies and articles

2018-10-10 17:35:51 UTC

not when you are the big brother to support everybody

2018-10-10 17:36:01 UTC

it's a spectrum of socialized systems

2018-10-10 17:36:06 UTC

I'm arguing for a movement in one direction

2018-10-10 17:36:24 UTC

and that direction is to fuck over our current system even more

2018-10-10 17:36:30 UTC

nah that's not what I want

2018-10-10 17:36:34 UTC

that's you saying that that's what I want

2018-10-10 17:36:46 UTC

thats not what im saying

2018-10-10 17:37:01 UTC

I'm saying socializing our system to the degree of others, would cripple it

2018-10-10 17:37:09 UTC

if done incorrectly

2018-10-10 17:37:13 UTC

we expend so much to develop things for the medical world

2018-10-10 17:37:20 UTC

that statement is too vague to be true

2018-10-10 17:37:24 UTC

that socializing it would fuck it up

2018-10-10 17:37:27 UTC

and you know its true

2018-10-10 17:37:31 UTC

mr bioengineering

2018-10-10 17:37:37 UTC

no, I don't, because it's an icnredibly vague statement

2018-10-10 17:37:46 UTC

how much does the us spend to develop new medical techs?

2018-10-10 17:37:48 UTC

that says nothing about what socializing changes you would make

2018-10-10 17:37:53 UTC

robotics

2018-10-10 17:37:57 UTC

for example

2018-10-10 17:37:59 UTC

how much do private industries spend on rnd?
