The Constitution's mistake is recognizing the will of the people
A moral society will impolde without authoeitarianism
capitalismc an be good in conjunction with moral enforcement
*authoritarianism
It won't because profit will rule the world
and authoritarianism can exist without overbearing enforcement
go away homo
But authoritarianism and the Constitution contradict each other
"Icky Man Begone"
The best way to ensure tradition is monarchy
I never said the ideal state involves the US constitution
just a constitiution to guide the actions of the rulers
But the US can't be kept traditional with the current Constitution
of course nopt
Monarchies will lead to Authoritarianism
The US was made by enlightenment-thinking freemasons
but the constitution isnt all that is to blame
and early enlightment thinking did some things right
Yeah it's more so the spirit of the Age of Enlightenment
You can't have monarchies without ruling with an Iron fist
The whole Enlightenment was flawed
thenwe disagree there
oh well
Where did it do good though?
I'm curious on your reasoning
I think a society that guarantees some rights of men is a good thing
The modern legal system is a good invention
not perfect but good
The modern legal system had roots in Roman law and the Inquisition courts, not the Enlightenment
freedom is a good thing in the hands of a decent people
it has its roots in british common law
Excessive freedom isn't necessarily good
of course not
freedom is nothing without brotherhood
You shouldn't have the freedom to spread liberal ideas
I don't think theres a point in supporting traditionalism, it would take a lot for those ideas to be re-implemented.
What I would argue for is a hands-off approach to governing expression, with the capacity to crack down on destructive movements
I dislike the concept of inquisition and surveilance
I would not look for windows into men's souls, you might say
Well the capacity to crack down requires an authoritarian government
