Welfare is selfish
Welfare is based
Stalin was based af change my mind
Why not get a little extra from their protection racket?
Never forgot that it was Stalin who turned a frozen wasteland into a world superpower, one which still rivals the US in many ways.
If Stalin was a girl I’d smash.
^
@Dysk Is actually right
Stalin turned a peasent society.
Into a world power.
And in 1950 they could have beaten America.
Or atleast sweep through all of Europe.
Well they swept through half of Europe.
Pretty good going really if you think about it.
After Lenin's death, Trotsky, Kamenev, and Stalin are brought to a room in the Kremlin and told that Lenin had one final test for who would become his successor. They were all given a pistol, told to enter a specific room, and shoot anyone inside to demonstrate their loyalty to the Soviet cause.
Kamenev goes in first, but he comes out sobbing a minute later. "It was my mother in there. I couldn't do it!"
Trotsky goes in later, but he comes out choking back tears shortly after. "I'd do anything for the revolution, but I can't kill my poor old mother!"
Finally, Stalin goes in. The others heard the sound of a gunshot, then the sounds of a scuffle. Stalin emerges several minutes later, looking disheveled with scratch marks on his face. "Those damn traitorous pigs!" he shouted. "They gave me blanks, so I had to strangle the old bitch myself!"
Superpower but starving, hungry, poor quality of life, big restrictions
Lost the arms and space race
Had to lie about stats to keep their propaganda in swing
The only leverage that was there was the size of their country and military which was mostly due to the numbers.
"hehe they had the same chaloric intake as the us hehe"
lol I always laugh at that
If eating potatoes all the time is alot of calories
not to mention the stats
v dodgy stuff
The soviets intentionally starved large areas just to get rid of the peasants.
that's what we should do
It was more of central planning inefficiencies
They modernized by eradication, it worked, but it was brutal.
There were still shortages far beyond the times you're referring to
right up to it's collapse
No it has been proven that all the planning errors were actually deliberate extermination, yes there were shortages, but who those shortage affected was targeted.
No thats just goalpost moving
lol
there were mass shortages throughout the times of the USSR
due to central planning
