He didn't, it was the multiple cases of unarmed black men being killed by police, and having those stories being published EVERYWHERE for months on end for everyone to see

He did take sides though but by then everyone was already in their own camps lol

But not justifying it, he shouldn't of took sides

But he wasn't completely anti-police, he made multiple statements in support of the police explaining how not all police are bad.

My dad was a cop, and during Obama the job got way harder
