despite the INSISTANCE of my employer that I should have to work 7 days a week which is already against Canadian law, my employer thinks I already have it too good.
This is what the courts are for btw go get evidence and report them. if it's not in your contract you dont have to do it firing you for that is again something you can sue for.
we have workers rights, sure, none of which can be enforced without pissing off every employer in the province. that's an even bigger problem than not being hired because you can't produce more than you're paid
using those who the system has failed is just a testament to the fact that the system needs to change. The unemployed can barely get employed as it is regardless of minimum wage.
I agree we have a failed system but the issue isn't too much laissez faire economics its the opposite we have too much government involvement and meddling.
And when yyou say the unemployed can barely get employed as it is that is because of minimum wage.
Supply and demand if the government artificially increases the price of hiring people less people will get hired simple supply and demand.
you need to have experience to get a better job so if you're locked out of getting your foot on the ladder you'll be stuck and the longer you're unemployed the harder it will become.
