There's a difference between being smart and memorising schoolbooks
In my experience
Yep
I would much rather just go and get a job. And lo and behold, I actually got several while I was just out of highschool lmao
See I'm both dumb and forgetful
Bad combo xD
I live in one of the most expensive states in the US, so at minimum to live here you need a good 2-3 jobs.
So, welcome to hell.
One of the dumbest and shittiest people i've known always momorized everything in school
Still got bad grades though 🤔
I don't have a highschool diploma
You can get into college without one
As did I.
Jup. And be succesfull
And you went into a pretty decent field iirc
And you can graduate with a degree, again, without a diploma
I forget what you're studying Dan. Blah.
I'm done, well, with degree wise. got my welding degree in Auguest.
Tho i'm not done with education cause i wanna learn a few new types of welding, which i have to get hired for
the type i wanna learn
Beat the fuck outta Phoenix, can't even play shit anymore.
i have 3 welding certifications for flux core and mig
vertical, and overhead
I think the best concept is still what we call "Ausbildung" here... you work in a company half a week and go to school the other half. Get money while you're at it. After 3 years you get your degree
My oldest brother is a welder, they make good money
The welding, physical weld tests are hard as fuckl
I'd be surprised if they weren't.
and they go thru full x-ray and bend tests
Makes qualified people and you don't need anything like a diploma to get in
The one field I wanna get into super bad is metal smithing
But it's a BITCH
a lot of people fail them. i wanted to get 6 certifications in 2 years
but it was to much
I know enough to do basic shit, but because of my hand I don't think I'd ever succeed in that industry lol
i got 3 instead
plus the test is l ike 300$ and if you fail any aspect in anyway, you fail
as simple as a spark mark on the metal
Lol that sounds like the driving tests here in MA
no joke
300 to test and if you fail it goes up.
