so i my aim when talking to girls is to keep them as friends rather than try and get smth

My mother still tries to rule my life but my situation is hard to be truly independent despite having my own home...being a disabled single parent I do have to rely on my family's help

I can talk to my grandmother more than my mother always have, relationship advice and stuff like that

But most here traditionally are that way

I wish elders in general were more open minded here
