So it made a massive one
i have arrive
This was their plan all along to bring down the treechiarchy.
Lol
Ugh, it’s like common sense has flown in favour of stupidity
Oh I hiked through a lot of the area where the wildfire hit too
I got a much bigger sense of the scope this last summer after hiking around a mountain
It is convenient that now there is a hell of a lot of land cleared though huh
Getting sick from the heat lol
😔 2020 is really a hell for me
And my family...
Soo peeps... playing dragon age origins... sword and shield warrior or great sword two handed? 😉
There was a lot of outrage over the eagle creek fire we had a couple years ago but like
Honestly the damage isnt as bad as it was made out to be, it was handled really well
@Immortality Hold up, I'll ask my ex.
Jkjk lol
A lot of it did get scorched but it was a healthy scorching. It hit patches instead of just burning through a whole section of forest
Exactly, that’s the point of controlled deforestation, ideally, that’s how we should do all our lumber industry
Cause at the same time we’re actually helping the environment...
Yeah
But bigger fires were started in the same year and year after that got much more big
It was mostly publicized so much because it was near Portland and the gorge is very well visited
My province is huge on the forestry and fishing industries.
Yeah same here
I think Oregon is one of the biggest suppliers of lumber in the country
I cut trees down quite often myself haha
And we're still doing a better job of maintaining our forests on top of it
Oh yeah, we're the top for lumber production lol
Fucking Greg and his wetlands 😂
ooo
My family is thinking about if we get like
5-10 acres
We'll dedicate like 20% of our land into being terraformed
I actually have a lot of land lol
There's a lot of natural wetlands here that have been pretty much just built on top of it
And can be revived
Yeah, that’d be nice
We're pretty sure licensing it won't be a huge problem considering they're starting operations all over the state to restore wetlands right now
And one of the biggest stumbling block is land claims for it
Plus, since we're starting a bird rescue, it gives a least some of them a place to go to when we release
