^ that's fucked up that she has to apologise

2020-02-20 05:51:18 UTC

I don't have Twitter so I don't know what happened that she felt the need to apologize for asking for money. And I agree with you @insanelyvain , she shouldn't have to apologize. Many ask for money for no reason. 🤷🏽‍♀️

2020-02-20 05:54:39 UTC

@xochiquetzal she gave her phone and laptop to the FBI so she asked for money for a new laptop, because she'd need 1 for school.

2020-02-20 05:55:19 UTC

Oh snap dude

2020-02-20 05:55:41 UTC

I just got to work, so I havent seen everything in full

2020-02-20 05:57:35 UTC

@insanelyvain I get that part. But why did she apologize after? It's a valid reason to ask for money.

2020-02-20 05:57:49 UTC

Because it's the internet

2020-02-20 05:58:09 UTC

And people get offended professionally

2020-02-20 05:58:27 UTC

You mean personally?

2020-02-20 05:58:36 UTC

ay can someone give me advice on what I should charge for a desk im making, im welding it and stuff

2020-02-20 05:59:15 UTC

True 🤦🏽‍♀️

2020-02-20 05:59:21 UTC

People were calling her out because she previously stated she's not prosecuting onision for money

2020-02-20 05:59:44 UTC

@JamesTheBlacksmith I dunno dude

2020-02-20 06:00:07 UTC

This is what the desk looks like

2020-02-20 06:01:25 UTC

Anyway I'm about to go into a tunnel

2020-02-20 06:01:43 UTC

So can't talk much xD

2020-02-20 06:01:49 UTC

Story of my sex life.

2020-02-20 06:02:16 UTC

@JamesTheBlacksmith great job so far! Tbh, last time I checked prices on desks, not even hand made, to my knowledge, they were $500+. Yours could easily be priced around $1000 I believe. Especially if you make it known it was made by you.

2020-02-20 06:02:46 UTC

crikey

2020-02-20 06:02:49 UTC

I dunno about htat

2020-02-20 06:02:50 UTC

2020-02-20 06:02:56 UTC

im not super proud of some of the welds

2020-02-20 06:03:18 UTC

thats about what the average weld is looking like

2020-02-20 06:03:19 UTC

not great

2020-02-20 06:03:22 UTC

not terrible

2020-02-20 06:04:55 UTC

You could test out the price by putting a high price then lowering it?

2020-02-20 06:06:16 UTC

maybe

2020-02-20 06:06:31 UTC

People are willing to pay a higher price if they know it's been handmade. At least that's been my experience. Also, not sure if it's just my area, but there's a week or two that artists host open houses to display their work and have prices on them for people to look at.

2020-02-20 06:12:00 UTC

And to go back to the earlier discussion, am I the only one that doesn't see the logic of saying she's doing this for money?? It would be different if she said I will let this go for x amount of money vs needing some help to cover laptop expenses??? Maybe that's just me 🤷🏽‍♀️

2020-02-20 06:21:34 UTC

yeh

2020-02-20 06:21:40 UTC

just call it "artisan"

2020-02-20 06:21:44 UTC

Yeah, it doesn't sound to me like she was trying to make a quick buck off the whole situation, and it seems like she had a legitimate reason to ask for financial assistance.
