I like the system Norway has. I’m originally from Canada and used to long waiting times etc, but in Norway you pay a small fee to see the doctor then the rest is covered
I dont think I’ve waited longer than 10 mins in emerg but then again I live in a rural area
I'm personally on medicare/medicaid because it fits my needs
It just gets hard to find doctors sometimes
who are all of these noobs?
U have to apply to and qualify for those things tho
@Jackiroonie
Much better than our current system Im sure
Most nationalised health doesnt let you pay upfront for doctors, in the UK you have to buy private health cover and it's literally just a way to skip the queue because you still use the NHS to deal with your health
I went through like, 3 eye doctors in 3 years cuz 2 of them stopped taking medicare/medicaid
Yeah
Its fucks them that's why they like to avoid it
the wonders of corona
@DerJesus
I've been constantly telling people the markets were going to crash and the reasons why for a while now even on this server
The wonders of mass panic lol
That screen shot isn't an argument
I'm just lucky to have health insurance <:retroSHRUG:630043899238416384>
America was due for their next recession period anyways it’s been a decade
Also America is way less free market than most people actually believe
@Cortah yeah I love this system tbh. It weeds out the folks going to the hospital for mundane things. When I went in for a small procedure I only waited a week for the consult and the next day I was in surgery. It was a small thing but Imm still glad it got taken care of as quickly as it did. And Im not even a full resident here lolol the whole ordeal costed me maybe $50
In Canada it would have been free but I would have waited probably a month for everything to be said and done
$50???
I think Im guessing the conversion right?? Its around 300-400NOK
@DoctorFluffs
When doctors dont have to fill out massive amounts of paper work and can charge you upfront for costs it's way cheaper than going through insurance companies/governments
ur joookkkiingggg
I had to go to the ER and that shit cost me $500 for the lab tests alone
Always ask for an itemized bill
OOF I couldn’t imagine
Yeah in the UK you get told that xray screenings are too expensive
And sent home with some painkillers
In Canada
You have to pester them for months before being taken seriously and usually the damage is done by that time
you get the xray in about an hour
for free
yay
Canada is just cheaper in general
For me in Canada it would take me like.. 2 hours to get an xray
Why do you think people go there for insulin?
but that was a looooooong time ago
