> @Cortah
> Medicaid and Medicare exist, but they're not easily accessible
@nonsensicaldreamer
Ye but that's not the market that's government, in the UK we have the NHS and our healthcare system blows ass chunks

2020-03-12 16:56:28 UTC

I just bought Monster Hunter for the PS4 and hnnnn I forgot how fun this wasssss

2020-03-12 16:56:54 UTC

when you have to wait 3 years for a first appointment with the NHS

2020-03-12 16:57:14 UTC

There are genuinely year long waiting lists for some proceedures

2020-03-12 16:57:17 UTC

Oh, we have NHS here too

2020-03-12 16:57:33 UTC

Never dealt with it though

2020-03-12 16:57:42 UTC

im a year into a 3 year wait list rip

2020-03-12 16:57:43 UTC

Where are you from?

2020-03-12 16:57:53 UTC

Stay stronk Rex

2020-03-12 16:58:28 UTC

America. We have quite a few healthcare plans here

2020-03-12 16:58:38 UTC

I like the system Norway has. I’m originally from Canada and used to long waiting times etc, but in Norway you pay a small fee to see the doctor then the rest is covered

2020-03-12 16:59:02 UTC

I dont think I’ve waited longer than 10 mins in emerg but then again I live in a rural area

2020-03-12 16:59:12 UTC

I'm personally on medicare/medicaid because it fits my needs

2020-03-12 16:59:25 UTC

It just gets hard to find doctors sometimes

2020-03-12 16:59:28 UTC

who are all of these noobs?

2020-03-12 16:59:41 UTC

U have to apply to and qualify for those things tho

2020-03-12 16:59:47 UTC

@Jackiroonie
Much better than our current system Im sure
Most nationalised health doesnt let you pay upfront for doctors, in the UK you have to buy private health cover and it's literally just a way to skip the queue because you still use the NHS to deal with your health

2020-03-12 16:59:59 UTC

I went through like, 3 eye doctors in 3 years cuz 2 of them stopped taking medicare/medicaid

2020-03-12 17:00:04 UTC

Yeah

2020-03-12 17:00:13 UTC

Its fucks them that's why they like to avoid it

2020-03-12 17:01:11 UTC

2020-03-12 17:01:41 UTC

@DerJesus
I've been constantly telling people the markets were going to crash and the reasons why for a while now even on this server

2020-03-12 17:01:42 UTC

The wonders of mass panic lol

2020-03-12 17:01:52 UTC

That screen shot isn't an argument

2020-03-12 17:01:54 UTC

I'm just lucky to have health insurance <:retroSHRUG:630043899238416384>

2020-03-12 17:02:06 UTC

America was due for their next recession period anyways it’s been a decade

2020-03-12 17:02:08 UTC

Also America is way less free market than most people actually believe

2020-03-12 17:02:27 UTC

@Cortah yeah I love this system tbh. It weeds out the folks going to the hospital for mundane things. When I went in for a small procedure I only waited a week for the consult and the next day I was in surgery. It was a small thing but Imm still glad it got taken care of as quickly as it did. And Im not even a full resident here lolol the whole ordeal costed me maybe $50

2020-03-12 17:03:04 UTC

In Canada it would have been free but I would have waited probably a month for everything to be said and done

2020-03-12 17:03:09 UTC

Yeah

2020-03-12 17:03:11 UTC

$50???

2020-03-12 17:03:40 UTC

I think Im guessing the conversion right?? Its around 300-400NOK
