I dont see a sign up area

2019-02-07 01:04:31 UTC

Ahh

2019-02-07 01:06:13 UTC

Oof, yea, it's actually been tricky to find >.<

2019-02-07 01:07:08 UTC

I haven't posted there, I'm not on the writing team... I *think* it's a WordPress account you use on there... Might be safer to wait roughly six hours to when he gets back, sorry >.<

2019-02-07 01:07:34 UTC

No problem

2019-02-07 01:07:50 UTC

I should still be out working

2019-02-07 01:08:21 UTC

I actually shared my wordpress in the circumcision thread

2019-02-07 01:09:49 UTC

The great news so far is I have fixed one of my laptops that I can now dedicate to me fight. Bad news still no donations otherwise.

2019-02-07 01:11:06 UTC

I did manage to get a lot of ebooks, still looking for hard copies.

2019-02-07 01:13:08 UTC

That's good, how comes you need hard copies of the e-books if I can ask? I prefer to have a book in front of me too, but are the ebooks not the same otherwise?

2019-02-07 01:21:28 UTC

I cant always have my computer with me.

2019-02-07 01:22:13 UTC

That's fair, any chance you can get them on your phone?

2019-02-07 01:22:54 UTC

If I'm at a eatery and I'm reading one of the books it may start a conversation. Yeah I dl them on phone first.

2019-02-07 01:23:41 UTC

Really? Where I live, speaking to someone you don't know randomly about a book they are reading can be seen as taboo xD

2019-02-07 01:24:26 UTC

really? thats how I met my girlfriend

2019-02-07 01:24:37 UTC

I walked up and asked her about the book she was reading

2019-02-07 01:24:42 UTC

different strokes I guess

2019-02-07 01:25:02 UTC

It's happened before. I'm a Uber driver and I have a pin hanging from my rearview mirror that says "genital cutting is not a parental right".

2019-02-07 01:26:15 UTC

Yea, I saw some of your blog earlier. In a public place it can be a little different, I guess, whereas you kinda expect your driver to talk to you xD

2019-02-07 01:27:24 UTC

I still get people laughing when it comes to saying it's about boys, they think girls are the only ones mutilated.

2019-02-07 01:31:28 UTC

One woman actually screamed at me that it's not the same even after I explained how serious I have been harmed by it.

2019-02-07 01:34:17 UTC

Probably a religious type. I always say that someone choosing to do it for themselves signifies a much closer commitment to God than someone else choosing that comittment for you

2019-02-07 07:57:27 UTC

@Shadowguyver If you could put it in a word document and attach it to a private message, that would be the best way. Sorry for any confusion on my last message.

2019-02-07 08:02:28 UTC

@InsaneCaterpilla I dunno but she was probably a Feminist by the sounds of it. Feminists are the ones that say things like 'FGM and circumcision are not the same'. Jews would reference the Torah to say that it is necessary. That the 'doing it for yourself' argument would be a good one if they were Jewish, I'll have to remember that.

2019-02-07 16:38:31 UTC

@InsaneCaterpilla I agree, same with religion. Most I talk to talk about the importance of religion in a person life and when I state I believe teens should be able to decide which religion resonates with them I get weird looks.

2019-02-07 16:39:08 UTC

@Men Are Human I'll try and do that.

2019-02-07 16:40:39 UTC

I have a meme showing I believe 4 Jewish scholars that state the reason for circumcision being the covenant was to weaken mans sexual pleasure and to drive lust and desire from his heart.

2019-02-07 16:41:51 UTC

👍

2019-02-07 16:42:49 UTC

Save that and present it to anyone that states FGM is to control a womans sexuality, circumcision is not.

2019-02-07 16:56:51 UTC

I believe certain religious members in America also claimed that circumcision should be administered to prevent masturbation as well.

2019-02-07 16:58:08 UTC

according to the Circumcision documentary it was doctors in the UK that began advocating circumcision as a means to prevent mastrubation in the 1900s

2019-02-07 16:58:36 UTC

and it migrated to the US and has remained every since, over the yeras its slowly evolved from one proclaimed health benefit to another, without any actual studies being done

2019-02-07 16:58:40 UTC

Yeah, I was thinking of Kellogg, et al.

2019-02-07 16:58:42 UTC

its all in that documentary on Netflix

2019-02-07 16:59:07 UTC

i was going to say, dr kellog

2019-02-07 18:26:48 UTC

It was Kellogg, definitely. And a lot of doctors. Back in those days, the medical consensus was basically that sexual urges were unhealthy.

2019-02-07 18:27:06 UTC

Indeed.

2019-02-07 18:29:03 UTC

Theory of mine is that pre-condom need to keep sex in check much more, and that's what did it.

2019-02-07 18:35:19 UTC

Doesn't make it right, by any means.
