Productive Sunday!
Yeah, pretty much!
hey guys! I wanna get an article out for my schools magazine on a men's issue, any suggestions?
I would suggest one that relates to you in some way, maybe something a friend or family member has gone through. There are plenty of issues and I could list them for you, but if it comes from the heart and experience it will probably make a great piece
I agree on the relatability. Also, is this a college?
@Ellie If you want to do one at school, that last link that @InsaneCaterpilla posted would be a really good subject.
Just as an aside and for his credit, goodmod originally posted that on men's rights ^^
I thought goodmod was supposed to be evilmod now, lol
Btw for the school thing, this should also help @Ellie https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/wiki/faq
Oh hey. Look at the picture! That's the symbol I was going for to use as our logo:
Isnt it better to use it for the egalitarianism logo.
We don't want people accusing us of 'appropriation'
i dont love that logo i\anyway
A Men's movement just need to keep the male logo.
This one is a little over the top, like we are overcompensating by including the female symbol.
i like the idea of a total original design, not like a male logo. something original to us
I was thinking something like a different symbol that means men, but it probably wouldn’t be anywhere near as recognisable as the O->
@Indigo Is there one?
@Abbysol Go on then
The male symbol we use is just the symbol for mars anyway
I can’t think of anything good off the top of my head but I know Yang (half the yin-yang) is representative me man, something along those lines
Hmmmm
Just a thought, but is hard finding anything good, I am getting a lot of female symbology though so that’s always a good sign 😃
i see people talking about circumsion on how its bad for the male and all other effects but i just cant really understand it
being born into a muslim country where circumsion was mandatory and all it never really came across to me as taboo
but i really would wish after birth circumsion to my worst enemy
i had a after birth circumsion at age i think 11 and that shit would bleed constantly and hurt like a motherfucker
we had to buy one of those like gentialia protecter underwears just so i wouldnt be in pain 24/7
and im not even gonna get into the pain that is taking of the stiches
we took them of ourselves and you can propaly imagine how that felt
but after all that was done we had a "party" you could say like family members and friend came to it we rented out a place and all
i didnt understand it but its something they actually do just bassicly "celebrating" a circumsion
i wasnt really mad or anything since i got money for getting a small part of my dick chopped of but its been so many years since then
and i still really dont understand all the activisim going on about circumsion
Circumcision cuts healthy, sensitive tissue away from an infant, violating his bodily integrity and denying him full penile sensation. It is mutilation.
and its not even standardized, medical textbooks dont cover it because "routine" circ isnt a real procedure. american medical textbooks also sometimes dont even include the foreskin when discuss male anatomy, the cut model is what doctors learn. they dont even learn what the natural anatomy is
thing is i never even had a word in it since it was just "traditional" to have a circumsicion and people would literally ask if you were circumsiced yet
