Don't worry I don't think it will ever get huge
Well that's a "thanks, I think" moment
Yeah
we need an offtopic channel
<#512584678314606613>
It shouldn't be lounge since that's where everyone ends up focused in by default when they arrive
You don't want newcomer coming in like "where's the men's rights convos"
What's wrong with that?
I think it a fairly easy to see the men's rights area when they look at the channel list
It's just my opinion. If anything you want the lounge more controlled / on topic
Most people just joining came here from the sub looking to chat about men's rights. People who would use an off topic room are regular users that still want to hang out but not necessarily have to constantly be on topic
so a mens rights longue and a casual "anything goes" lounge?
If the men's rights discussion area was filled with messages to welcome new members it would detract from discussions
Yes @blueorange22
That's my opinion
Not trying to tell you he to run your server just giving you my perspective
Maybe not even "anything goes" but off topic
i see what you mean, its interesting
i second that
Like maybe me and @Bobby_Hill use that room to talk about news without bothering other users
Well didn't you guys just say general is for mens rights topics?
what about stuff like anime or new videogames
Most of the news you do talk about is related though is it not?
thats what im getting at
Oh right, anime news would be a lounge thing
Sometimes it is related. Sometimes it veers in to other areas
but veering is mostly fine
so general and the MR chat would be different
but how is what im wondering?
?
I mean lounge would be on topic. General would be off topic.
Or general would be a third thing and there would be a separate off topic.
But wither way the main landing page for new users would be on topic since that's what they came here to find
Any discussion can change topics to and from men's rights. Because the chill out area is lax no one is going to penalise you for straying topics there. It's only the reverse, talking about casual stuff in the men's rights rooms which we will suggest to talk about it somewhere else
I'm...not sure I see a point in a topic-restricted lounge.... Oooooh, you mean for general to be the landing page
So please feel free to use lounge
agree with @InsaneCaterpilla
Yes maybe that's what I'm saying
General would be the landing page
Then lounge would be used more for what it's intended since it isn't being used to welcome new users etc
