It was like, you talk to one person in chat, look at.their friends, look at their friends, eventually you come in to some bad stuff
`Discord Updates Community Guidelines Following Blowback, Bans Furry Cub Porn` This I disagree strongly with. As well as the censorship of shota/loli. As well as... Well, any art.
But censorship is everywhere these days.
Child porn is child porn
Weather drawn or real
False.
You're a censoring cretin with no respect towards art or freedom of expression if you believe that.
This has nothing to do with mens rights and I don't believe it to be an appropriate discussion, so this convo will end now
Can we talk about non men's rights topics sometimes if they aren't inappropriate ?
Like small talk
Yes. Not in this channel though
What channel ?
Lounge mostly

Ok
Is there an off topic room? I'm not sure what true discord equivelent is. Some irc server that are themed around something have an #offtopic room
Lounge is basically as close to an offtopic room as it gets
Ok
I thing lounge was more of like a landing page for.the server
All of the chill out section is fairly lax
as more people come. we'll develop nuances and familarities
our own patterns will organically develop
I think because this is an MRM server and just more controversial in general (and something /r/againstmensrights theoretically might pull shit from), a true #offtopic is something the server will tend away from unless this place gets absolutely huge.
Don't worry I don't think it will ever get huge
Well that's a "thanks, I think" moment
Yeah
we need an offtopic channel
<#512584678314606613>
It shouldn't be lounge since that's where everyone ends up focused in by default when they arrive
You don't want newcomer coming in like "where's the men's rights convos"
What's wrong with that?
I think it a fairly easy to see the men's rights area when they look at the channel list
It's just my opinion. If anything you want the lounge more controlled / on topic
Most people just joining came here from the sub looking to chat about men's rights. People who would use an off topic room are regular users that still want to hang out but not necessarily have to constantly be on topic
so a mens rights longue and a casual "anything goes" lounge?
If the men's rights discussion area was filled with messages to welcome new members it would detract from discussions
Yes @blueorange22
That's my opinion
Not trying to tell you he to run your server just giving you my perspective
Maybe not even "anything goes" but off topic
